SmiteCam IV |
I will be getting up to old tricks again shortly, challenging the gods
to SMITE ME DEAD live on my webcam.
SmiteCam IV will be a technical advance over previous efforts as it will
feature a proper live webcam feed embedded in my page with a dedicated
chat running beneath it. Anybody who opens the page on Tuesday 14th June
will be able to view the live feed. You will not need to sign up for
anything to take part.
There is no way I could possibly challenge all the gods our species has
dreamt up over the past few thousand years but I do aim to give quite a
few of them a fair crack of the whip. Acceptable holy signs will be
1] Thunderbolts
2] Meteorites
3] Spontaneous combustion
4] Sudden urge to seek repentance after thirty years as a born again atheist
5] The appearance of the god in question in corporeal form beside me
6] Turning water into wine (I won't be greedy, one glass will suffice)
attacks by madmen, hackers, viruses and similar human agencies will be
viewed as positive proof of the impotence of the gods.
Note that all references are to gods, in the plural. This is to include
the many many gods and the many only gods. Many believers find it hard
to grasp the idea that I treat their gods as myths and with no more
special status than any other mythical supernatural being. I am not
angry with any of the gods for not existing, that idea is as absurd as
being angry with Luke Skywalker or James Bond that they don't exist.
I will be looking for support and good wishes, prayers will not be
required. I will also appreciate some authentic forms of address and
wording for my challenges. These can be either in the long form "Oh most
noble god x son of y, lord of heaven, god of the waves, great
circumciser, lion of the wardrobe, etc. etc." or in the short form
SHAFT ME SHIVA!
THWACK ME THOR!
BANG ME BEELZEBUB!
and such like.
I look forward to your thoughtful replies and your company on my final
journey.

blasphemy!!! James Bond not only exists, he'd kick Luke (the loser!)
Skywalker's ***** in half a heartbeat!!!!!!
