So, This Chick I Know...... |
.........Has a 1-1/2 year old beautiful baby girl.
She called me quite upset yesterday. Seems she and her husband
had a yelling match and she wound up going to work with both of
them pissed. Later she came home to find the baby in some sort of
discomfort. She goes to the hospital and the baby has a dislocated
shoulder....Doc says it was no accident.
When she called me I had only one question, "Do you want me to
break his leg?".
You know, I don't give a ***** about many things and I really don't
care what people do with their lives. When it comes to a defenseless
little girl, I take exception. I'll bust him in the fucking mouth if I
see him.
That's *****.

Do you know her well enough to questions her (gently) and get honest
answers? As if you don't know, has he been violent with her or others?
If so, ask:
1. Has he ever threatened to kill you?
2. Has he ever put his hands around your throat?
3. Does he have a gun?
If the answer to #1 is yes and either #2 or #3 is yes, she and the baby
are in danger.... no-***** kind of danger!
If #1 and #2 is no, she is not in any immediate danger. Take a deep
breath now.....better yet take 10.
When she called me I had only one question, "Do you want me to
break his leg?".
That would help nothing - and, in fact, could make her situation - if
she has one - much worse.
You first need more information about their relationship - unless you
have more and not told it.
If the relationship is an angry one a lot, ask
Does he call her names like stupid, fat, skinny. lazy, a lousy mother,
etc. frequently? Does he try to convince her that EVERYTHING is her
fault and/or that she is crazy? Has he been violent with her?
Does he try to isolate her from family and friends?
More information can be found on Domestic Violence sites.
You know, I don't give a ***** about many things and I really don't
care what people do with their lives. When it comes to a defenseless
little girl, I take exception.
Adults make their own choices; children are stuck in a situation until
an adult "rescues" them by getting out of it. If the mother is in an
abusive situation, hammer her with the idea of getting out for the sake
of the child.
I'll bust him in the fucking mouth if I see him.
As I said, if they are in an abusive relationship/marriage, that action
on your part could and probably would make things worse. I understand -
oh, do I understand your feelings - but you can't make things worse for
her, please.
That's *****.
Well, that's one term. :-) I can think of many more. However, do
proceed with caution for the sake of the child

You might want to consider the fact that kid's shoulders are pretty
easy to dislocate by accident, and when people are angry, they are
often not in as good control over their bodies as could be wished.
You're very clearly assuming that the injury was deliberately
inflicted. Calm down, think about the facts. If this guy makes a
habit of injuring people, that should be taken into account, but if
this is the first time, then you have little excuse for flying off at
the handle, eh? Don't make the situation worse.

No excuse.
Never Shake A Baby.
Countless thousands of parents deal with their screaming infants while
in a bad mood without even causing a bruise, let alone dislocating a
limb. The little twerp who did it should be shown exactly how much that
hurts.
