know the charge against the man? Was the hospital responsible for
reporting him or did the mother?
The mother brought the baby to the hospital and they called the

Excellent! The medical communities seems to be getting on top of this
kind of thing much better than in the past. I have also noticed that
they routinely ask an individual (out of the presence of anyone else) if
they are safe at home. I have been asked this by every doctor I have
met (too many of them... :-( the past 6 months.
The doc said it could not have been caused by an accident.
The soon-to-be-x hubby took his lumps and didn't say a word about it
to the police when they arrested him.
That's the way it's done where I live. We take care of our own.
You are fortunate. In my county the abusers (male especially) are given
a slap on the wrist by the police - both local and county - its part of
the "good-ole-boy" syndrome here. Even when one of our clients was shot
in the face by her soon to be ex (after many calls to the police for his
stalking; all of which were documented) in an attempt to kill her, no
changes in police attitudes. One county sherrif is being "protected" by
his fellow officers after beating his wife so badly she nearly died.
Police are no protection here.
There were no guns or knives involved....Just a few shots to the
head to wake him up and some knee damage so he'll remember.
I work for a domestic violence shelter, hence my interest. It is not
prurient.
Gotcha.

Throwing the little whiner from a car, traveling at a fast clip,
works very well. It's better if you put the little whiner in a
plastic bag first. Not as messy...unless the bag gets hit by a truck.
Or rolled under a car.
If this was a 'joke" which I sincerely hope it was..... it is poor taste
to say the least and downright sick to judge it more strongly. If it
was in seriousness, this is a person who should be taken off the streets
permanently. Anyone who even jokes that way is ...well.... disturbed
and need some serious therapy.
Pangur - thanking you for the information. I hope she doesn't go back
to him; most women do as they are afraid to try to live alone and
support themselves and a child. Most return to such an abuser between 7
and 12 times before a final break - if they aren't killed first. Hope
this is enough to comvince her not to return to him.
