Some good old fashioned anti-Catholic bigotry |
It's this 'in-your-face' attitude that gays possess that is disgraceful and
contemptuous. Any type of bigotry, whether directed at Catholics, Jews,
coloreds, or homos is abomination in this day and age.
http://headlines.agapepress.org/archive/7/272006h.asp
....The pastor of a Roman Catholic Church in Provincetown, Massachusetts,
says he's offended that some proponents of homosexual "marriage" equate the
opposing view with bigotry. Heterosexuals in the overwhelmingly "gay" resort
town on the tip of Cape Cod complain that they have become victims of
intolerance by homosexuals and are taunted as "breeders." Tensions boiled
over this year after a website published the names and addresses of
residents who signed a petition seeking a constitutional amendment against
same-sex marriage. One woman who signed the petition says she was publicly
berated as a bigot by a homosexual man. Most of the local signers are
Catholics whose pastor, Rev. Henry Dahl, believes the website list was
published to intimidate those who oppose same-sex marriage. The site's
publisher says the list was meant to encourage discussion of the issue, and
he condemns rudeness of homosexuals toward straight people. [AP]

FYI the term "coloreds" went out of style in the early 1960s, and your
comment about "this 'in-your-face' attitude that gays possess" sounds
very much like white folks, miffed at civil rights legislation, who
complained that blacks who actually wanted to take advantage of their
civil rights were "uppity." Any visual indication of "uppityness" on
the part of blacks was no doubt due to nervousness regarding the
reaction they might get regardless of the law, motiviated by centuries
of discrimination and mistreatment.
Also, it is not "bigotry" when non-catholics push back whenever the
Catholic Church tries to interfere in their lives, whether with regard
to abortion laws, marital arrangements, or what have you. As Harry
Truman once said, "if you can't stand the heat, get out of the

Rather, it became an acronym so widely used that most people don't
think of what it originally stood for.
*****.
No, the truth. I just pronounce it "N double A C P" and think of it
as a black advocacy group, and never bother with the full name.
How is that not in conflict with non-racial discrimination?
Where did that non-sequitur come from?
You do get upset easily, though, when you have no point and your
immaturity really shows.
Denial of the racism inherent in the NAACP is an idiot's response.
Your immaturity is shown by assuming that race-based organizations are
somehow legal in the USA.
What racism? Care to document any that you think exists.
Besides, it is expensive to change a name
*****.
No, the truth.
Irrelevant to the law that forbids discrimination on the basis of race.
No, highly relevant - you were asking about the organization's name,
not what the organization does.
What an idiot you are!
Calling me an idiot is like allying yourself with criminals.
BTW, I'm not even in the NAACP.
Irrelevant.
I suggest you see Robert Winn's doctor. The two of you need to
increase your meds and maybe you can get a quantity discount.

Do you know how few providers actually enforce a terms of service?
Especially when it comes to crap like Young's in which hate and bigotry
dances behind a thin veil of religion?
After a while, one gets tired of sending emails to providers when their
only real terms of service amounts to: "Did the check clear?"

and
contemptuous. Any type of bigotry, whether directed at Catholics, Jews,
coloreds, or homos is abomination in this day and age.
But your 'in-your-face' bigotry directed at atheists is just fine.
Riiiight.
you forgot to mention the use of the word 'homos' in his statement which
is a term used by bigots. (along with queers and fags etc.)
The use of the term "bigot" is just as much a term of derision as queer or
homo. It's just that "bigot" is an undefined generalization, whereas
"homo"
is specific.
I really hate to be uncharitable, but your stupidity is truly
mind-boggling.
I'm sure you hate being uncharitable.
Yes, that's why I refrained from insulting you.
