Religions in general seem to want to promote themselves as peaceful...
for marketing purposes only. However, from crusades to civil wars to
world wars to acts of genocide, the contents just don't match the
packaging.
These civil skirmishes and attacks by extremists (and even the cartoon
riots, for that matter) are a drop in the bucket of theistic
bloodletting, of course. So let's have a sense of proportion.
