This newsgroup is quickly becoming a waste of my time. This is

First I have some pseudo-christian telling me that satori, mocksha,
and communion with Jehovah are all the same thing. When I try to
point out the obvious, some Pastor interjects in to the thread and
starts telling me that moksha is identical to the Christian concept of
salvation/redemption.

What to do now? I am now neck-deep in utter absolute falsehoods and
confusion. These people are so wrong, and so confused, and their
brains are so mixed up, that I don't even have an idea of where to
start in responding to them.

I hardly ever see atheists debating each other in this group (outside
of political threads). Instead what I see is nothing but the old
christians-vs-atheist nonsense seen everywhere else. The atheists
are all well-read, intelligent, witty, sharp, and so on. The
Christians and fundies are all half-educated, confused beyond any hope
of repair, and only know about logic insofar as it applies to some
narrow apologetics for the Bible. Their minds are not clear. Their
minds are twisted, mixed up, and foggy. Their facts are reversed, or
turned upside down. Or mixed togethor in some bizarre way that gives
me a migraine headache to try to think about.

Do I even need to mention the numerous Christian posters who
cross-post into this group, and then who never respond even when their
thread generates over a dozen responses from us. (?)

I have much better things to do with my time than try to untangle
Christians and New Agers from some sort of mess of mental vines they
have stuck themselves into. Does anyone know of any MODERATED
atheist newsgroups?
