Quote from that article.
"Jamison Stone's trophy boar would be bigger than Hogzilla, the famed wild
hog that grew to seemingly mythical proportions after being killed in south
Georgia in 2004. "
How does a hog grow after being killed?

Then that should read ...seemingly grew to mythical proportions....
As it stands in the original, it implies that the hog _actually_ grew after
it was dead.

I don't think the writer meant that the hog literally grew after being
killed, but rather that it got a bit bigger each time the story was
told. <G>

I recall some years ago, when on a business trip to Houston, my boss
insisted that we eat at this restaurant. The motif was hunting and the
room was lined with animal heads. I don't know if they were real or
fake, but all of those dead critters staring at me didn't do much for my
appetite. Rather gross, I thought. :-p

There's a place like that down in Rio Vista, which is a nice scooter
ride along the river from where I am. The heads there are real. I
had the bison burger, which was just okay. All those dead eyes
watching you eat are kind of creepy.

Holy Crap! It's the size of a Volkswagon. We're going to need a
bigger barbeque pit!
And they're having the head mounted. I can only imagine the nightmares

True. I don't know why people do that. Staring at dead animals gives me
the creeps.
Perhaps, but I don't think I'd want to be eyeball-to-eyeball with it if it
weren't dead, either. ;)
Well that one, yeah. I don't think I'd want it in my back yard. But I
still wouldn't want to stare at it.

There was a follow up to this story, the animal was actually once someone's pet
and they sold it to a game farm, where the kid tortured it for 3 hours with 15
pistol shots.

pistol for over 3 hours while they stood by with high powered rifles that could
have dispatched the animal out of it's misery.
