SoT Christianity: Catholic Charity Director Convicted of Sexual Malfesance |
Yep, that vaunted Christian moral superiority
http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2007/12/07/BAGOTQ9RQ.DTL&tsp=1
(12-07) 12:11 PST REDWOOD CITY - The director of a Half Moon Bay
charity pleaded no contest today to a misdemeanor charge of offering a
woman $500 to have sex with him after she asked him for help finding a
job.
Michael David Niece, 65, declined to comment as he left a Redwood City
courtroom with his wife after pleading to one count of soliciting
someone to engage in prostitution.
"It is what it is," Niece's attorney, William Johnston, said as he
left.
Under the plea deal, Niece faces a maximum of 10 days in jail and
agreed to undergo HIV testing.
Niece is co-founder and director of the Coastside Catholic Worker
charity, which focuses on helping agricultural workers and their
families. He could have been sentenced to six months in jail if
convicted at trial.

In My Opinion
They are prisoners, criminals are committing the crime, prisoners are
paying for the crime.
Is a person breaking the laws, Christian? Aren't you denying God when
you break his trust, Therefore not a Christian? The act of being
Christian is the act of receiving and following Gods path, God's path is
clear and saved on the GPS of life. While committing a crime, justify
yourself to God, breaking trust is not being Christian during that crime.
A Christian criminal is one who commits that crime because it was
directed by God. The rest are just criminals.
The same with Islam, Islamic criminals are committing crimes that Islam
has directed. If they kill for Allah then those were Islamic crimes.

No, you really were an idiot, as revealed in your
facile comparison.
Further, Frank explained why that comparison was
incorrect, so it wasn't just a case of name-calling.
its a defense response when someone

It also occurs when a person is dealing with an idiot.
But speaking of defense mechanisms: Keep telling

that their responses have nothing to do with your
clumsy arguments or your vile personality.

I will,
I know exactly what they were saying and your re-explanation wasn't
necessary, save for your benifit.
Belief is nice, kick the tires dude.
Someone believing they are black when they are white means what? Believe
what you want, it never changes the facts. Beliefs and feelings are
circular(you can go round and round) facts and truth are a straight
line, and that's the most direct route between two points.
You believe I'm an idiot, fact is.... your belief is meaningless.

Still laughing at your beliefs.... let me get up off the floor, do you
believe your criminals are Liberals and Christians? If they are mostly
Liberals, should we ban Liberalism? Who would these prisoners vote for
if they got to vote? Do criminal in prison call themselves
Republican/conservatives?
How gullible are you? Look it up. Atheist's have no private support

prison? Islam was gaining in prisons also, but you'll have to look it up

Ignoring reality won't make it go away, nutjob.
For the non-nutjobs out there who may be reading this, religious
affiliation (or lack thereof) and criminality are independent of each
other. Mr. Nutjob is apparently trying to claim that Christians aren't
criminals and that's demonstrably false. The only oddity in the
statistics to which I referred is that there are so few atheists. While
one can guess as to the reason for this, the data itself says nothing.
Mr. Nutjob wants to claim that the inmates were lying when they claimed
to be Christian. I suggest that said nutjob take that up with the
inmates themselves, preferably in person.

See you do understand sixth grade level reading, and I thought you were
stuck at forth grade. I feel bad for short changing you.
Not my "beliefs," nutjob. It's there in black and white. 75% are
Christian, almost all are religious in some way and only one in 500 is
an atheist.
Did you use your atheist meter to sort them out. We know criminals never
lie.
Criminals aren't the only folks who lie, are they, nutjob? Christians
lie as well, especially the one who goes by the nym "Talk-n-Dog."
Now your cook'n.
So much for your question of whether there are "really Christian
criminals." Yep, there sure are. Almost all of 'em, in fact, at least
in the United States.
Your Bipolar is seriously out of control. seek help.
Good job, your criminalizing the religions since your looking to make
your smaller and less common atheists look good. You never took into
account the National average of the Christians to atheist. Your simply
looking to paint your atheist as better people than those "Christians"
who you say go to prison in huge numbers. Your contention that,
criminals who are professing to be Christians.... that this is enough to
label the Christians as less omnipotent and trustworthy than atheist.
As for Christians being criminals, what do you have to do to be a
Christian? Follow Gods Laws. Were these criminals (while committing
their crime) following Gods law?
Keep in mind here that I'm not Christian nor atheist, so your insults to
Christianity are meaningless to me. I have no dog in this fight. Other
than the affront to intellectual honesty.
Just take the high road and rationalize the fact that "there are no
atheist in fox holes" extends to prison, where being atheist has no
gain. People in prison have nothing so everything they have access to,
including information, is used for their personal gain.

Your the one saying something about Christians(I discovered you were
segregating out black Christians), you were *profiling* and if
Republicans did that to Muslims like you Liberal atheists are doing to
Christians then the Liberal media would go nuts. The moral to this
story seems to be that Atheist Liberals can profile, everyone else is a
bigot when they do it.
You Liberals want it both ways, No one can profile Muslims as
terrorists, but you want to do it to Christians and actually
black/Christians. By your Liberal standard we should target black
Christians when hunting criminals after a crime.
Profiling.... Race, creed, religion, national origin or sexual
preference isn't Liberal is it? Do you need some Liberal instruction
like *sensitivity* training, maybe you can google it along with
*diversity* classes.
My suggestion is to find a diversity training class, that doesn't have a
dress code.... since that smacks of not really accepting diversity. Been
there, seen that, it's more Liberal irony.

Your the one saying something about Christians
You're lying, as usual. You questioned whether any criminals were
Christian and I presented strong evidence that, in the United States at
least, yes, criminals are overwhelmingly Christian. Unable to accept
that fact, you're lying and trying desperately to pretend that those
numbers don't say what they do, in fact, say: That some 75% of inmates
are Christian and almost all the rest are religious in some way, while
only 1 in 500 are atheists. This doesn't fit your preconceptions and so
you reject it. The fact that you apparently cannot accept reality is not
my problem.
(I discovered you were
segregating out black Christians),
Where "discovered" really means "made up."
you were *profiling* and if

And since everything else you wrote is based on your deliberate invention
of something I didn't say and which wasn't specified by the numbers I
quoted, the person you're arguing with is a figment of your own pathetic
imagination.
