CHICAGO (CBS) -- Bond was set at $400,000 Friday for a church pastor
accused of sexually assaulting a young boy over a period of several
years.
Jose Rolando Morales, 49, of Mt. Prospect, was charged Thursday with
predatory criminal sexual assault of a child and criminal sexual
assault. Morales is the founding pastor of Ashland Christian
Ministries, a non-denominational church located at 3637 W. Montrose
Ave. in the Albany Park neighborhood, according to the Cook County
sheriff's office.
Police said the victim was a member of the church and belonged to its
youth group. He was 11 when the abuse started and is now 22, the
sheriff's office said.
