BROWNSVILLE — Shane Rhode pleaded with jurors Monday to set his mother
free.
“I want my mom to come home,” the 15-year-old said, reminding the
court she is the only parent he and his two siblings have left.
Earler in the day, Shane’s mother, Traci, was declared guilty in the
murder of his father, Scott.

Traci’s defense team called on James Odabashian, a local attorney and
pastor at The Vineyard Christian Fellowship.

Looks like Yang is going on a crusade. For some reason the Church of
God and Pentecostal church denomination (Swaggart, Oral Roberts, etc)
and the Catholic church tend to have all the problems.
Pentecostal churches tend to get emotional.
But to sober denominations that actually practice what they preach,
Yang never a word gives commendations. But in just a couple of
churches that I have recently attended there were food baskets
nearby. And I personally stood by my pastor at the grocery store
when he purchased a big loadful of groceries to a woman and her
daughter who didn't have the funds.

A big word up. Churches have Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners for
Homeless every year as well as kitchens and cupboards the rest of the
year too.

A big word up. Churches have Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners for
Homeless every year as well as kitchens and cupboards the rest of the
year too.
Give a man a fish and he'll have one meal.
Teach a man to fish and he'll be able to
support himself for the rest of his life.
In other words, as good as it is to feed the
needy, along with that teach them a trade
or help them find a job, so that they don't
have to be fed. They'll have the feelings of
pride and accomplishment due to being able
to buy their own food and help support their
families. That's why I support groups such
as SHARE and Heifer which do exactly this
all over the world, including the US. They
don't just feed people, they teach men and
women to be self sufficient, improve their
living conditions, learn how to raise animals
and grow crops, get educations, become
business people by selling the results of
their hard work, improve the health of the
children by being able to afford buying milk
or get milk from the animals they are given
and sell the surplus, and get them medical
treatment if needed, etc. Giving people
some food isn't a solution. It's merely a
stopgap.
