Pine trees emanated from Germany as a plant used for celebration long
before Christianity these trees over.
Which hardly alters Hitler's penchant for using people. He certainly used
the church and the Vatican for his own purposes right up to his last
days.
Hitler does not figure in the religious/atheist dialogue and debates.
He was a megalomaniac unlike the majority of the aforementioned and can
be discounted.
I doubt he wondered or even bothered once during the period of W.W.II why
folks in Germany and folks in Britain were likewise going to church every
Sunday to pray for the glorious victory of their troops are the front !

I doubt that ANY Christian ever pondered why both he and his opponent
were praying to the same god for his own victory and his opponent's
defeat. But all Abrahamic theists do it.
