juvenile center for sexual assault in a church.
Authorities say Johsua Owens raped a 12-year-old girl in a bathroom
stall at a church in December. Court documents say he pinned the girl
against a wall and fondled her, then raped her.
Owens had pleaded no contest to charges of second-degree and
third-degree criminal sexual conduct. A Mount Clemens judge didn't
specify how long Owens would be locked up. He will review Owens'
progress and he could remain there until he turns 21.
Owens had been expected to be tried as an adult in the case.

behavior of so-called Christians who show that they hate their enemy,
obliterate those who don't kowtow to them, bury their talents with
intentional ignorance, lie about science, steal from the poor to give to
the rich, try to impose their religious beliefs on Caesar, and make
churches dens of thieves. Watching their behavior, it is clear to me
that they are not following the teachings of Jesus. If you want to claim
that these folks are Christian, that is your choice, but you harm the
reputation of all Christians by draining any meaning from the word
_Christian_.

Yes, people have used Christianity for whatever purposes, far too often
evil, they can and there have been far fewer followers of Jesus than
self-described Christians. That, in part, is why I didn't talk about
Christianity, but about individuals who claim to be Christian.
I just refuse to accept that someone is Christian just because he says
he is. If he wants me to agree that he is Christian, he should act like
he has a clue what Jesus taught. It also means that I am not intimidated
because someone tries to tell me what a 'Christian' should do. I don't
have to believe them when they tell me it is Christian to be a bigoted,
gay-bashing, war-mongering, poor-kicking, race-baiting fool. I realize
there are many who think they are Christians when they act that way, but
I don't have to accept their claim. As far as I am concerned, they are
not Christian and they have no way to persuade me otherwise until they
repent of their hateful view of the world.

juvenile center for sexual assault in a church.
Authorities say Johsua Owens raped a 12-year-old girl in a bathroom
stall at a church in December. Court documents say he pinned the girl
against a wall and fondled her, then raped her.
Owens had pleaded no contest to charges of second-degree and
third-degree criminal sexual conduct. A Mount Clemens judge didn't
specify how long Owens would be locked up. He will review Owens'
progress and he could remain there until he turns 21.
Owens had been expected to be tried as an adult in the case.
Being in a church doesn't make one a church goer.
