On November 16, a Rwandan military tribunal convicted Father Wenceslas
Munyeshyaka of genocide, in a trial held in absentia. Munyeshyaka, who
is now in France, was accused of committing rape and aiding militiamen
in the genocide. The prosecutor, Major Christopher Bizimungu, said
France would be asked to extradite Munyeshyaka.
