The night of Feb. 1, 2006, after Morris came home from church, he said
he confronted Darlolene about contacting a sex partner. He had
threatened her in the past during such arguments, he testified in
Circuit Court on Tuesday.
On that night, he said, she didn't tell him the truth. He took out his
revolver, emptied the bullets on the bed, and thought he mimed
replacing one cartridge. He spun the chamber and threatened her.
Darlolene said she gave $100 to the man.
Morris testified that he was satisfied with her admission. Morris said
he raised the gun to show his wife it was empty. She pushed him, he
said, and the gun fired.
A bullet hit her in the face. She died in the hospital 10 days later.
