Garrett, who had no criminal record until he pleaded guilty in July to
operating while intoxicated causing serious injury, was sentenced to
30 days in jail and two years of probation in Allegan County Circuit
Court. Judge Harry Beach approved work-release, allowing Garrett to go
to his job each day and spend the night in jail.
