CLINTON — After thanking the Clinton County Jail administrator and
staff as well as the city of Clinton for being kind to his children, a
Clinton man was sentenced Tuesday afternoon to two life prison terms
in connection with last year’s fatal shootings of his ex-wife and her
live-in boyfriend.

In his statement to the court before being sentenced, Maurice Walker
Sr. talked about a friend who had committed suicide many years ago,
the comfort he received by being involved in prayer groups and Bible
study at the jail and the need for pastors and the church community to
not forget the men in jail.

“I have not killed anyone,” he said, emphatically stating he was going
to prison with clean hands and a clean mind. “I will go to prison
hoping to be a blessing to men who don’t know about Christ.”

Yet another criminal christian that wants to give other prison inmates
advice on how to conduct themselves, using the bible and "teachings of
christ".

Bible study, prayer groups and claiming to be a follower of christ
clearly did not stop Maurice Walker Sr. from deciding the victims must
be put to death.

7. Leviticus 20:13: If a man lie with mankind, as he lieth with a
woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely
be put to death.

8. Leviticus 20:10: And the man that committeth adultery with another
man's wife, the adulterer and the adulteress shall be put to death.

9. Mark 16:16: He that believeth not, shall be damned.

10. Malachi 2:1-4: And now, O ye priests, this commandment is for you.
If you will not hear, and if ye will not lay it to heart to give glory
to my name, ... behold, I will corrupt your seed, and spread dung upon
your faces.
