South Carolians? |
Sorry for this morbid request.
My sister-in-law died in a traffic accident near Columbia
Saturday afternoon. I've found a newspaper article online
http://www.thestate.com/mld/thestate/news/local/7162252.htm
If someone could clip that from the paper and mail it to me
I would appreciatte it. Some day I may be able to give it
to Wayne.

Charles,
I am truly sorry for your loss. It's difficult to absorb this kind of loss of
life. My thoughts are with you and your family.

My condolences to you.
Rest well and post when you can.
Thankyou everyone for your support, I see 9 replies here,
the same number as in Google, so I've read them all. I'll
only be making the one answer. A short post often takes
most of an hour, and I want to get in a reply to the Warlords
death rant, and the "What gives atheists strength thread.
A bit of a story telling about Sue.
Sue travelled in her job as a "radiation physics technician"
monitoring worker exposure and contamination during nuclear
power plant repair/refueling. She was working at a plant in
Columbia South Carolina.
Wayne talked to her Saturday morning, she had scheduled a
flying lesson for noon. She was very excited about a flight
in a new place, with a new instructor in a new airplane. He
gave her a couple hours to come down, then started trying to
call her. On his third call the coronor answered her cell
phone.
It was late Saturday night that Wayne was ready to contact
the son who is in the Navy. Sunday night there was a horror
story, the Navy had the wrong boy call, and Wayne didn't know
until after he told the wrong David his mother was dead. We
got to the right one, it will be another 2 or 3 days before
he gets home.
There's a lot more I feel I should write, except I've said
to much already, that's 45 minutes of writing.

You should be able to get hard copy of the article from the newspaper
itself.
