Object: Specific steps in the most commonly used partial-birth abortion procedure
Dilation and Extraction, are:
1. A medical professional induces a breech (feet first) delivery with
forceps.
2. Legs, arms and torso of the fetus are delivered (i.e. expelled from the
mother).
3. The back of the fetus' skull is punctured with a scissors-like
instrument.
4. A suction device is inserted into the skull.
5. The device sunctions out the contents of the fetus' skull, causing the
skull to collapse.
6. The lifeless fetus is delivered.

That's falsehood #1: There is no induced delivery.

No "expelled". Extracted.

3. The back of the fetus' skull is punctured with a scissors-like
instrument.

Why? Because the head is too large to fit past the cervix.
But you pro-liars prefer to spread propaganda and disinformation
in order to promote hate.

This technique is performed for emergency medical reasons, not
electively. If they were going to have an elective abortion they would
have done it much earlier. Do these loonies seriously imagine she is
going to wait that long for one?

Why would the head be too large to fit past the cervix in this
procedure, but not in natural childbirth?

Because the skull has enlarged with fluid and celluar debris so that it
is now a couple times its normal size and increasing in size. Because
the hormones which "soften" and relax the cervix over a period of a
couple weeks before birth are not present. Because the cervix is being
dialated via mechanical means rather than by biological/hormonal means.
There are any number of reasons.

Because the hormones to make it dilate aren't there yet.

Now that you have given a short, somewhat biased description of this
procedure, how about now telling us when it is usually done in the
pregnancy and why. Those are more important questions than how it is
done.
I will give you a hint. It is done because it must be done. If the
women had their way, it would not have been needed in the first place.
It this procedure which induces relatively little physical trauma on
the woman was not use, another more dangerous procedure would have to
be used.

No one pretends that abortion is a cute operation. No one even pretends
to be "in favor" of abortion. But it exists and no one has the right to
impose his/her views on someone regarding PRIVATE matters...
I guess that's what makes it so difficult for women-hater (among
others) like J fucking Young...

What's so funny about peace, love and <youngopinions@aol.com> posting
the following on Thu, 13 Apr 2006 01:06:14 -0400 iin alt.atheism?

Dilation and Extraction, are:

Would you like a blow-by-blow description of how my spleen was
removed? Or the effects of a M-16A1 anti-personnel mine on a human
body?
Many things in this life are disturbing, if not downright gross.
Doesn't make them wrong.
