If I saw that nebula for the first time in a movie, I would have thought
"How fake!".
I never really believed that nebula could possess straight lines, much less
appear rectangular.
There's another belief squashed by hard evidence.

Here's my best example of being wrong.
I took a laser holography class in College. I came away from that class with
the firm conviction, based on first-hand knowledge of making holograms, that
it would be impossible to print holograms.
Now I have a wallet chuck-full of printed holograms.
Now I try to avoid firm convictions since I've seen where they lead.
It sickens me to see theists wallowing in firm convictions.
