Study confirms long-term trauma of sexual repression by religious zealots.
A study by a non-partisan group of mental health professionals has revealed
that the long-term sexual repression by religious zealots is taking a toll
on the population of the planet. One such symptom is the unbridled
reproduction by members of the Catholic faith worldwide and the recent
outings of allegedly "celibate" priests.
"It used to be that the Catholics hid their homosexuals in the 'cloth'",
said one unnamed spokesperson. "Now in the information age, all of this is
coming to light. It has been happening for years, they were just better
able to sweep it under the rug. You can't repress a normal human's sex
drive and not expect it to come out sideways somewhere, this has been shown
again and again by modern studies of human sexual behavior."
In the results of the study, it was revealed that those in the sample
grouping who considered themselves "patriotic" and "Christian", were more
likely to be purveyors of sexually graphic materials than those who were
not constrained by the guilt and shame of religious teachings regarding
their sexual behaviors.
