Hi All,
A decision in the arena of WIPING OUT the separation of Church and State has
been made at W&MU. A cross that was a gift use to lay in a hall that ALL use
for different events and has offended 1,000's of people to which we applause
President Gene Nichol for having it totally removed AT ALL TIMES UNLESS it is
requested by an event coordinator which is the CORRECT decision.
Interesting article here where "public" was mentioned a full 20 times by the
Governor himself, Tim Kaine:

MaryCharterDay.cfm
Are kids going to a college that receives public tax dollars suppose to be
exposed to one specific religious symbol while using one of its on-campus
facilities? Of course not.
There are some fundamentalist zealots currently ramping up one of their own
Crusades to force the college President, Gene Nichol to put the offensive and
disgusting display of a demonic religion and force it upon those that to
which it makes them feel extremely uncomfortable.
Please e-mail President Gene Nichol and show your support for his patriotic
act in removing such offensive thing from being thrust upon the public,
mainly our kids who are there to get education and not Communion.
The President has made his decision. Does he have backbone or not? Will he
cave or not?
Show not only your support for his decision or ask to "The Wren Cross
"removal" decision was clearly a *CORRECT* one..."...at either of these sites
and/or e-addy's, a phone call should be in oder too:
