Stupid Human Sign |
In the same vein as stupid church signs, I saw a panhandler with a
stupid sign:
With God's grace, this isn't you.
The young man carrying it had on clean, well-cared for work clothes,
sturdy boots and was physically fit enough to be a treat to look at.
So the sign was doubly stupid. Besides a foolish message, it also
seemed to be telling people to be couch potatoes.

Has anyone figured out how much money panhandlers get on average? Just
curious...

On average? No. But I've heard of some of them making a fairly
decent living that way. House of their own and everything. Just
depends on where they are & what kind of show they put on for sympathy
(those who _are_ just putting on a show, I mean - not those who are in
any sense "for real").

Common is the man who can be fashioned into a
reflection of the era in which he lives.
Rare is the man who can take the era in which
he lives, and fashion it into a reflection
of himself.
