It doesn't state the religion of the kid, but in all likelihood
he's a xian given that the parents were.

Montana captures suspect in mom death
At Montana motel: Teen is accused of placing woman's body in a
basement freezer

Once Bountiful detectives received information that Jeremy Hauck
- wanted in connection with the shooting death of his mother -
might be in Missoula, Mont., it didn't take them long to track
down the 18-year-old.
They began calling motels and hotels in the area, and a clerk at
a Super 8 said a young guest there matched Hauck's description.
They called Missoula police.
About 10 p.m. Wednesday, Missoula officers were quietly
evacuating surrounding rooms when, without any prompting from
police, Hauck walked out of his room, said Missoula police Sgt.
Travis Welsh.
Hauck was taken into custody without incident, and by Thursday
afternoon, was charged with first-degree felony murder.
Welsh couldn't say if Hauck had any weapons because his motel
room was sealed off and his mother's car - a 2001 blue Toyota
Corolla - was impounded. Police were waiting on a search warrant
before entering Hauck's motel room or inspecting the car for
evidence.
Bountiful Lt. Randy Pickett said two detectives drove through
the night to Missoula and interviewed Hauck Thursday at the
Missoula County jail, where he was booked on an arrest warrant
charging him with stealing his mother's car.
Meanwhile, detectives in Bountiful were seeking to get a warrant
for murder and begin the process of extraditing Hauck to Utah,
Pickett said.
Hauck is considered a suspect in the shooting death of his
mother, Laura Hauck, whose body was found in a basement freezer
in her condominium at 449 N. 400 East on Monday.
Family members had earlier requested a welfare check on the 52-
year-old woman and her son, who had not been heard from since
Friday.
Officers entered the condo through an open bedroom window. In
the basement, they found a blood-stained mattress, two shell
casings from a .22-caliber gun and a swath of blood along the
floor between the mattress and the freezer.
Inside the freezer was Laura Hauck's body, in a fetal position
with her arms covering her head. Police believe she was killed
Friday.
Pickett said the State Medical Examiner's Office confirmed that
Hauck had been shot twice in the head and her throat had been
slashed.
Laura Hauck grew up in Montana and graduated from St. Ignatius
High School, according to her obituary. She was a member of the
Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and married, then
later divorced, Jeremy Hauck's father, who now lives in
Washington.
She spent the last two years of her life in Bountiful.
