The Anti-American U.S. Olympic Committee

The United States Olympic Committee needs to get an earful from the
American public. The USOC has hired a consultant, Mike Moran, to advise on
how the American Team ought to behave during the upcoming Summer Games in
Athens, Greece. Mr. Moran has made his pronouncement and it should outrage
every single American who loves this great nation. It seems the USOC has
decided to issue an edict to the 500-plus member team of athletes that
they must not wave the American flag around during the medal presentation
ceremonies for fear of upsetting the crowd. The USOC’s Moran goes on to
say that if Kenya or Russia waves its flag around that is a lot different
than the United States given our reputation in the world today.
What are these guys at the USOC smoking? They are basically saying that
this nation, which has done and continues to do more to help the world
than most of the rest of the planet combined, has something to be ashamed
of and we should put our flag in the closet. I should remind the USOC that
people have died and are dying for that flag and what it represents to all
of us.
How dare they? Imagine, we are asking our athletes to be ashamed of our
flag when it is this country that twice saved the world from tyranny in
two World Wars in the last century, and now finds itself bearing most of
the burden to save the world from the evil of world terrorism.
If not for brave Americans who gave their lives in what is called the
Greatest Generation, Europe would now be in the sixth decade of the Third
Reich and we know what flag they would be waving, the one with the
Swastika.
The idea that the USOC is concerned that those out of sheer ignorance or
jealousy would boo the American Team shows you what they think of the
country who’s team they will represent this summer in Athens. Instead of
reminding the Team that America is the nation that has brought freedom to
millions in this century and the last, and that America is the country
that provides most of the world’s food and medicine, they have the gall to
tell the Team to can it when it comes to the U.S. flag!
The USOC cited the chanting of “Osama! Osama!” at the recent finals in
Mexico. The USOC needs to make a visit to where I live in Los Angeles. If
Mexicans hate the United States you would never know it since half their
population seems to be living here and the other half is trying to
illegally make their way in.
Every American who is as outraged by this edict from the Olympic Committee
needs to send them an email at to remind them which country
they represent and that we the people are not ashamed of our nation’s
record or our flag. Maybe the major American sponsors of the USOC should
also hear from us. They include Coca Cola, John Hancock, Kodak, McDonalds,
Sports Illustrated, Visa, and Xerox.
The specter of our great athletes in Athens walking on eggshells during
the medals presentation is absolutely unacceptable. I wonder if the USOC
would rather we wave the baby blue flag of the corrupt and incompetent
United Nations. Heaven forbid, what happens when they have the nerve to
play our national anthem? Maybe we should ask the French if we could
borrow their anthem and flag. After all, the only thing they did to
preserve freedom in the last century was to surrender twice to dictators,
and to keep doing business with Saddam up until his last moments in power.
How could anyone boo a flag like that?

I do not get this. When did atheletes start taking and waving their
National Flags
during medal presentations.
Spectators, maybe. But even your athletes never wanted to do that before.
Anyway, the media people will only get the Nationalist pictures for their
own
country, so you can live in your sad dream world.

F--k the committee. Our athletes have every reason to be proud to represent

than most of the rest of the planet combined, has something to be ashamed
of and we should put our flag in the closet. I should remind the USOC that

of us.
Obviously, you fail to understand why there is so much hatred of the US in
the world. I guess one of the most important reasons is its arrogance. Since
George Bush took over the White House, things really got bad; he and
neo-conservatives didn't want sign the Kyoto treatry, nuclear arms
treatries, ignored the UN, rejected the International Court and so on, and
so on.
Is there yet any deal to make or ... ??
BTW, a recent poll in Germany showed that youngsters consider George Bush
the biggest threat to the world's stability (second threat: islamic
terrorism). I guess that tells you enough about America's image; and whether
you like or not, Europe is still one of America's closest allies.
How dare they? Imagine, we are asking our athletes to be ashamed of our
flag when it is this country that twice saved the world from tyranny in
two World Wars in the last century, and now finds itself bearing most of
the burden to save the world from the evil of world terrorism.
Gee, I'm still amazed and impressed by America's nationalism. I bet you
think it's the best place to be..or even worse: God's Own Country!
If not for brave Americans who gave their lives in what is called the
Greatest Generation, Europe would now be in the sixth decade of the Third
Reich and we know what flag they would be waving, the one with the
Swastika.
Fair comment. Many Europeans are still very grateful for that. It's probably
the best thing America every did:-)
But does this mean that Europeans should always agree with everything
America does? What about freedom (to agree that we disagree)
Every American who is as outraged by this edict from the Olympic Committee
needs to send them an email at to remind them which country
they represent and that we the people are not ashamed of our nation's
record or our flag. Maybe the major American sponsors of the USOC should

Bush wants the support of UN right now! (see:
http://www.cnn.com/2004/WORLD/meast/05/24/iraq.main/index.html) Why? He
didn't need the support of such an organisation, now did he?
play our national anthem? Maybe we should ask the French if we could
borrow their anthem and flag. After all, the only thing they did to
preserve freedom in the last century was to surrender twice to dictators,
and to keep doing business with Saddam up until his last moments in power.

The U.S has supported Saddam in the 80's, you've probably forgotten that.
You're not gonna tell me that you haven't seen pictures of Rumsfield shaking
hands with Saddam?? At that time ppl already knew how evil, ruthless and
dangerous he was..

Thousands of dead terrorists is a *good* thing.
Calling innocent men, women, and children "terrorists" just because

Terrorists aren't innocent. There is no US policy to kill innocent
And so you declare people "guilty" just because you want them dead.

You're the numbnuts dipfuck- I never said Sadam had anything to do with
9-11. If you would have read it I included all terrorist acts- Go back to
school child. You obviously have only see 1 or 2 terrorist acts and dont
feel the pain of 30 years with these monsters running about. Sadam WAS a
part of AQ- He funded, hid and allowed them to train in his country-
further, he gasses his own people to death. Go back to history class- you
get an F and need to start over.

Sadam, Yasir, Kadifi, Began(sp), Osama and AlQueda(sp) are all tyrannical

train in Iraq and so on. That makes Sadam part of the problem.
Side note- The amount of Saran gas that was found in Iraq is enough to wipe

Just goes to show how ignorant the German people are.
Bush has already invaded two countries and killed tens of
thousands
of people. Perhaps you should try reality and see what
the
world
is
really like.
Thousands of dead terrorists is a *good* thing.
Calling innocent men, women, and children "terrorists" just
because
you need to justify having killed them is classic
propaganda.
Terrorists aren't innocent. There is no US policy to kill
innocent
And so you declare people "guilty" just because you want them
dead.
The Nazis used similar tactics against the Jews.
You're just another genocial lunatic.
Your ignorance of current events is astounding.
Everybody has seen your hatred of Muslims.
You just want to kill people.
I guess the victims of September 11th are nothing then?
Does that justify killing tens of thousands of innocent people?
And that we should
let Osama, Sadam, Kadafi and the like just trapse about the world
killing
You're a stupid *****. Saddam had nothing to do with either 9/11 or
with al Qaeda.
innocent people on trains, busses, in consulates, in high rise
buildings,
in
cafes, in restaurants, on olympic teams, in federal buildings just
kill
Kill people like you seem to want to do?
You're the numbnuts dipfuck- I never said Sadam had anything to do
with
9-11.
Then why did you bring it up? Because you're a stupid ***** who now
has to backpeddle?
Do you understand context?
Sadam, Yasir, Kadifi, Began(sp), Osama and AlQueda(sp) are all tyrannical
As is Bush.
and implement terror as a means to get what they want.
Except that when Bush does he calls it "shock and awe".
Sadam allowed AQ to
train in Iraq
*****.
LMAO- Lets see- the media that broke that info were the french? And they
Where's you evidence? Are you referring to the "training camps" that
were in the northern part of Iraq controlled by the Kurds and protected
by the US?

And what a let down that "shock and awe" was. I was expecting something
substantial. It was nothing put a few bangs and that was it. Next time I hear
the use of "shock and awe", I'll lower my expectations.

That "shock and awe" crap was like everything from the Bush
Administration. All talk, no substance. Maybe, when he said "shock
and awe," he was referring to the economy and tax breaks to the rich.

Or the eventual cost of the war and the lack of any substantial post Saddam
