The Antichrist Spotted in Egypt! |
There used to be no Arab v. Arab bombings in the Middle east, now Bush
has managed to spread them to Afghanistan, Iraq and more and more,
recently, to Egypt. Wasn't it democracy he claims he's spreading?
It would seem that the democratic peace that Bush is desperately trying
to enforce by military might in the Middle East (it's the only legacy
he'd have but he's already screwed it up beyond repair) is in pieces.
The second bombing in as many days killed as many Egyptian police, but
check out the photograph with this article. The soldier's shadow,
distorted by the angle of the sun against the angle fo the wall, has
transformed his image into that of some sort of bizarre creature =E0 la
"Alien" - or could it be an fateful presage of...that dragon mentioned
in the Revelation to St. John the Divine - the antichrist????
Check it out for yourself:

Budikka, your history is a bit uninformed. Just off the top of my head I
can recall some Arab v. Arab incidents:
Syria v Lebanon
Egypt & Jordan v Palestine

I didn't know that Bush had invaded Egypt to impose democratic peace!
Amazing the things you can learn on USENET!

Budikka, your history is a bit uninformed. Just off the top of my head I
can recall some Arab v. Arab incidents:
Syria v Lebanon
Egypt & Jordan v Palestine
Syria v Syria
Iran v Iraq (Oh, wait, those are Arabs against Persians, I guess that
is ok.)
Sudan v Sudan (Oh, Arab against Blacks, acceptable yet again)
North v South Yemen (the only time we took the North against the
South, you would think we would have learned from our own Civil War)

trying to enforce by military might in the Middle East (it's the only

I think it is a bit of a stretch to call Egypt peaceful, it is
smoldering rather than flaming. And it is certainly not democratic. It
is a one party state that dramatically restricts political rights and
uses violence and torture on a pretty significant scale.
