The Bible vs Pride. 7-31-2006. |
(Psalm) Deuteronomy 32: 18-21.
You were unmindful of the Rock that begot you,
You forgot the God who gave you birth.
When the Lord saw this, he was filled with loathing
and anger toward his sons and daughters.
"I will hide my face from them," he said,
"and see what will then become of them.
What a fickle race they are, sons with no loyalty in them!
"Since they have provoked me with their 'no-god'
and angered me with their vain idols,
I will provoke them with a 'no-people';
with a foolish nation I will anger them."

Here, ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, is a case of someone who thinks
that if you quote something from the bible and post it in alt. atheism,
you'll get 'tingled' by 'God', realize the error of your ways, see 'God'
smiling at you and nodding his 'head' in a compelling way in your mind, and
you'll abandon your atheistic ways. All that because you've been 'exposed'
to the words of 'God'. *That* is how brainwashed the Jesus people are. Don't
you want to end up being just like them? You can, you know.
See this guy thinks he has some kind of direct line of communication to
deity. And notice he's presenting you his selected text in English. Do you
know what happened to the guy (William Tyndale) who translated the bible
into English and whose translation was the basis for the King James Bible?
Why he was first strangled to death, and shortly thereafter his body was set
on fire, that's what? And why? Because the Christians who did that to him
believed he had blasphemed and that he was a heretic. (I guess 'God' didn't
want 'commoners' reading his 'Holy word' without clergy translators. [Bad
for business.])
Well with this bit of Christian irrationality out of the way, let's see what
'God' has to tell us today. (Maybe if 'God' read it to us aloud from the
heavens it would 'go over' a little better. But 'God' must have a 'frog' in
his voice at the present time. What *else* could account for his silence?)
(Psalm) Deuteronomy 32: 18-21.
You were unmindful of the Rock that begot you,
You forgot the God who gave you birth.
Okay, okay! You don't have to remind us again, and again, and again, and
again that you 'fathered' man. (As well as yourself when you played the part
of 'Jesus' (and surprisingly *not* 'Immanuel' in that production of ... oh,
never mind.)
When the Lord saw this, he was filled with loathing
and anger toward his sons and daughters.
'Loathing'? My my. What side of the bed did our heavenly 'Father' wake up on
*that* morning? Unhappy with his creation, was he?
"I will hide my face from them," he said,
"and see what will then become of them.
Hey. You've got to admit he did a pretty good job of 'hiding'? No one has
been able to find a *trace* of him. Not so much as a single strand of
supernatural hair.
What a fickle race they are, sons with no loyalty in them!
He meant blind, unswerving obedience and acquiessance. He doesn't like
people ignoring his 'Holy' *****. He wants it constantly and thoroughly
licked -- and with enthusiam!
"Since they have provoked me with their 'no-god'
and angered me with their vain idols,
My my. Sensitive, aren't we? (And oh so jealous.)
I will provoke them with a 'no-people';
with a foolish nation I will anger them."
What holy, child-like pouting. Anyone in the NG have children who behave
like this? And if you do, how do you 'correct' them? By a gentile spanking
or taking away their video-game privileges for a day or two?

Ha, I know that this isn't relevent and is not meant as an answer to
the post, but just offendedly I'd like to say that when I read about
the single strand of supernatural hair, it made me think of either
Superman III or IV where there is a strand of Superman's hair that is
suspending a 1000 LB weight. It was from this hair that Lex Luthor was
provided the DNA to create Atomic man, or something like that. Just
thought that was kind of amusing is all.

In a message sent 'round the world, poured fuel on
the fire with the following:
(Psalm) Deuteronomy 32: 18-21.
Say Padre, have you noticed that your deity comes across like a spoiled
brat?
But it gets even better! Let's read on:
22 For a fire is kindled in mine anger, and shall burn unto the
lowest hell, and shall consume the earth with her increase, and set on
fire the foundations of the mountains.
23 I will heap mischiefs upon them; I will spend mine arrows upon
them.
24 They shall be burnt with hunger, and devoured with burning heat,
and with bitter destruction: I will also send the teeth of beasts upon
them, with the poison of serpents of the dust.
25 The sword without, and terror within, shall destroy both the
young man and the virgin, the suckling also with the man of gray hairs.
26 I said, I would scatter them into corners, I would make the
remembrance of them to cease from among men:
That's quite the "love god". Right, padre? But wait!:
27 Were it not that I feared the wrath of the enemy, lest their
adversaries should behave themselves strangely, and lest they should
say, Our hand is high, and the LORD hath not done all this.
Good ol' YHWH! He won't send "fire and brimstone" after all! Not
because he is all lovey dovey, but because he doesn't want someone else
taking the credit.
Your deity is quite the psycho, padre.
Regards,
Josef
