THE CHRISTIAN MIND
It was the Christian mind created the inquisition.
It was the Christian mind that murdered thousands of women for being
witches.
It was the Christian mind that created the crusades.
It was the Christian mind that burned Bruno at the stake*.
It was the Christian mind that drove Galileo to his early death.
It was the Christian mind that tortured those who had "heretical" thoughts
about Catholicism.
It was the Christian mind which thought of the rack, the iron maiden, the
iron boot, the tearing out fingernails, the drowning( by pouring water down
a victims throat) and other tortures that a sick mind can invent.
It was the Christian mind (Martin Luther) who preached hate for the Jews
from the pulpit.
It was the Christian mind that preached hate for the Jews from the pulpit
for a thousand years in all European countries.
It was the Christian mind that fought Catholics against Protestant.
It was the Christian mind that killed thousands of Jews during the pogroms
of Russia, Romania, Latvia, Lithuania, and Poland.
It was the Christian mind that forced medieval Jews to wear a yellow Star of
David to keep them apart from non-Jews.
It was the Christian mind that created the Nazi party.
It was the Christian mind supported Adolph Hitler in the extermination of
Jews.
It was the Christian mind that started world war two (and world war one).
It was the Christian mind that forced German Jews to wear a yellow Star of
David.
It is the Christian mind that is pro-segregation.
I was the Christian mind that lynched blacks.
It was the Christian mind that turned its back at the murder of millions of
Jewish men women and children in concentration camps
It was the Christian mind that witnessed the bludgeoning of old men and
women in the town square with iron pipes while the town's folk played music
and danced.
It was the Christian mind that turned their neighbors in to the Gestapo.
It was the Christian mind that revealed the hiding place of a 13-year-old
Jewish girl by the name of Ann Frank to the Gestapo to die of starvation in
a concentration camp.
It is the Christian mind that lynched black people.
It was the Christian mind that aided and abetted known Nazi murderers to
escape prosecution after the war.
It is the Christian mind that condemns men for wearing a condemn to protect
their wife's from AIDS or other sexually transmitted diseases.
It is the Christians mind that form hate groups such as the KKK, Skinheads,
Neo-fascist, etc.
It is the Christian mind that would prevent a woman from terminating a
pregnancy she does not want (even from rape)
There has never been in recorded history for the past 2000 years that
atheists as a group that has the mind to cause a single death for religious
reasons.

I think that the whole issue is oversimplified to be honest, like it's a
simple denial of reality. I don't buy that. Actually I read an interesting
article on why people hold religious beliefs the other day:

Not that I 100% agree with the article but it does raise some interesting
points. Human beliefs and motivations are complex things that we still
understand very little about. I completely disagree with your rant about
'the christian mind'. The behaviour you talked about isn't exclusive to
christans at all nor is it inclusive. But maybe we just have a different
definiton of what a 'christian' is - my definiton of a christian is simply
someone who believes in the divinity of Jesus of Nazareth and uses his
life as a guide.
Your definition of 'christian' comes across as a xenophobic, irrational,
intolerant, racist, extreme right-winger. *Maybe* fascist is a more
appropriate term, so why not rant about the 'fascist mind' instead of the
'christian' mind? Are you saying christianity is inherently fascist, that
it causes this mentality?
I disagree. You can take the bible etc. anyway you want, history has
proven that.
