The Creation of Adam |
I know this sounds strange, but has anyone looked at the <Creation of Adam>
painted on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel by Michelangelo? He had a tiny
*****! I'm having a lot of trouble accepting that this whole world's
population came from there! Eve must have been a very frustrated, hysterical
woman. No wonder she had an affair with a snake!
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Creation_of_Adam
I am inclined to believe that I am the descendant of an ape with a much
bigger ***** than that, judging from my own size.
Theists looking at that picture wouldn't see anything wrong with it, of
course, that's why they believe it!

Ha, ha.
In reality, you can blame the Greeks. Greek artists seemed to think that
large units were not very tasteful and so depicted tiny ones, even in erotic
art, unless the subject was supposed to be grotesque. Romans tended to
defer to the Greeks in matters such as artistic standards, so if
Michelangelo had used more typical or realistic proportions there would have
been no end to the criticism. Of course Italian models and the Greek models
before them are not removed from the present by evolutionarily significant
periods of time, and neither modern day Italians nor modern day Greeks are
particularly deficient as European men go --- if anything it is contrary.
And you have to consider shrinkage. Although both Italy and Greece are warm
by European standards, you are not likely to mistake the Sistine Chapel,
even today, for a sauna. (Although probably if a model was used for this
particular work, he posed for a cartoon in a studio that would not
necessarily be the warmest and most comfortable place.) Evidently
Michaelangelo was not especially concerned about that particular area since
his David was uncircumcised.

If the model had to pose up on the, presumably unguarded, scaffolding
where Michelangelo was working then one might expect some considerable
fear and vertigo induced shrinkage :-)

It is not easy for an artist, lying flat on his back with paint
dripping into his eye, to get a good look at a model on the adjacent
part of the scaffolding out of the corner of his other eye. Tends to
skew the proportions.

Then again, perhaps Buonarotti didn't care to advertise around town the actual gifts a pet

It's probably the downside of evolution, our ancestors did not have cable
TV, beer and hot dogs, and they exercised a lot.

Well clearly Michelangelo had already worked out some basic
evolutionary theory, and based on humans have larger penises than
other apes, has construed that Adam must have had a smaller todger
too.
It's obvious!
I also note he's not standing, being pre-bipedal.
PS: I couldn't remember which painting this was until I followed the

He may have hooters, but the two meatballs are definitely a male trait. As
far as the rest of the lower package, I'd say He has plenty of decent-sized
noodles, enough to keep a harem of angels happy.
I can't say that about Adam, he'd leave a ten year old altar boy craving for
more.
Oops, I don't think Adam was catholic, never mind that last comment!

I am unfamiliar with any part of human anatomy called "*****"; which was
at one time a fairly common man's first or given name.
So far as it is known to religion OR science, humans do not descend from
apes. Humans are said to be more closely related to chimpanzee but not
descended from them, either; rather having forked from a no-longer
existing common ancestor to all primates.

Wouldn't you expect that someone who came to the atheist thugs' backyard to find street-savvy

It's one of the effects of the religion mind virus.
They can read into bible passages whatever suits them, they can use any
English word however it suits them (A La Humpty Dumpty) but using a
colloquialism is a complete no-no. Born again, but never grew up!

So far as it is known to religion OR science, humans do not descend from
apes. Humans are said to be more closely related to chimpanzee but not
descended from them, either; rather having forked from a no-longer
existing common ancestor to all primates.
Here's a little research I did for you, it took me less time than it took
you to type that nonsense:
<Apes are the members of the Hominoidea superfamily of primates, which
includes humans. >
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apes#Behaviour_and_cognition
<This is a list of apes of encyclopedic interest. It includes individual
non-human apes (chimpanzees, gorillas, orangutans and gibbons) who are in
some way famous or notable.>

You seem to be the only one unfamiliar with it. When you grow one, you'll
know what it is.

apes. Humans are said to be more closely related to chimpanzee but not

Nothing is KNOWN to religion, it is all belief! However, science KNOWS that
I come from a primate with a big *****. Maybe that term more closely
resembles what you're used to.

Seeing as we are apes, chimpanzees are apes and even more distantly related
gorillas, orangs, and gibbons are all apes, then IMHO the common ancestor
would probably be considered an ape as well, though no longer extant.
Lesser and great apes split ~8 mya while gorillas split from our line ~7 mya
and chimps ~4 mya.

Where did you get those numbers? They seem a bit low, The numbers I
recall are orangs split about 20 mya and chimps 7 - 10 mya. (Gorillas
somewhere in between.)

Sorry but the common ancestor of humans and chimpansees would already
be a primate and therefore an "ape". Humans do not descent from any
"ape" that still exists, but logically we do not only descent from
apes, we ARE bald apes walking on two legs and with a greater ability
to talk than any other ape.
Hopefully we will evolve into a species that can also listen better.

You are incorrect, as usual. Science is *quite* clear on the fact
that humans *are* apes. We are not descended from chimps, but we have
a close common ancestor. Not only do we share an extremely large
amount of ape (and particularly chimp) DNA, but there are traces of a
virus that attacks only apes in both our DNA and chimp DNA, proving
that we came from a common ancestor.
You know, a *little* actual science education wouldn't hurt your one
