The Hijab or women's veil has no basis in Islamic religion |
"This headgear in question has nothing to do with Islam as a religion. It
is not sanctioned anywhere in the Quran, the fundamental text of Islam, or
the hadith (traditions) attributed to the Holy Prophet" The headgear was
invented in the 1970's by Mussa Sadr, an Iranian Mullah according to Amir
Taheri, an Iranian author.
"In 1981, Abol-Hassan Bani-Sadr, the first president of the Islam Republic,
announced that "scientific research had shown that women's hair emitted rays
that drove men insane" To protect the public, the new Islamic regime passed
a law in 1982 making the hajib mandatory for females age 6 and older.
Violating the hajab code was made punishable by 100 lashes of the cane and
six months imprisonment."
This is a very interesting article and go on to point out that no old
photographs exist of women wearing the hajib and Muslim women can verify
this by searching through their family albums.
This article was published in "YOU! The new woman lifestyle" Sept 2, 2003.
I anyone would like a cope of this one page article email me at K-H-U-B-L-A

Islamic religious leaders are inventing a new religious rule which
has no basis in their holy texts.

Oh, like the RC one about forbidding birth control. Thank you, it
makes more sense now.
