Neither god nor satan exist.
You'll find out for sure one day when you die.
Actually, no, we won't. And neither will you. Consciousness is caused
by elecro-chemical reactions within the brain. When the brain dies,
these reactions stop. After ten minutes irreversable damage is done due
to oxygen starvation. It's a delicate balance, look what happened to
Terri Schiavo, revived after ten minutes of oxygen starvation. That

consciousness is affected by conditions within the brain. When the brain

You said the mundane brain isn't responsible for states of consciousness.
Can't you make a simple comparison? Let me help.
Brain starved of oxygen, causing massive brain damage.
Patient is left in a vegetative state.
Soul unharmed (unbacked claim), patient still in vegetative state.
Hmmmm....
Looks to me like changes in the brain cause changes in consciousness.
Therefore, when the brain dies, so does consciousness. The soul doesn't
seem to have anything to do with anything but your imagination.
Your idiot religion and desperate desire for everlasting life prevents
you from coming to the logical conclusion.
All

Proof, duke. Prove there is a soul. No doctor has ever done a
soulectomy. They don't show up on any kind of medical scan. I gave
evidence for my claim. There's more on the web if you look under
neurology. Now you need to back yours up. Keep it in reality and
outside of your religion.

Not that I know of. Your brain serves the body in that function. Your soul is
the essence of what you are, to prefer good over evil (uh, that's me), love over
hate (uh, that's me), etc.

Because her soul and her brain are two different things. Don't you know

stopped functioning. The essence of what she is continues to this day and
tomorrow and forever thereafter.
You said the mundane brain isn't responsible for states of consciousness.

No, I didn't say any such thing. In fact, consciousness and the brain are very
much related, as are the soul and conscienceness.

Theologically speaking nobody knows for sure, as the Son of Man alone
will handle the Final Judgement. In fact, it is a sin to attempt any

perhaps he's burning in the fires of hell, what would you know duck?
Theologically speaking nobody knows for sure, as the Son of Man alone
will handle the Final Judgement. In fact, it is a sin to attempt any
judgement on his final fate...
Ah, duke has sinned by saying "He is now standing in the glory and love of
God"!
duke is destined for HELL!

No man today knows for sure. Just like no man today knows if God exists or not.
Good luck on your choice.

Ah, but you said "He is now standing in the glory and love of God", not "I
hope he is now standing in the glory and love of God."
Sinner.
Just like no man today knows if God exists or not.
And that would include YOU, would it not?
Good luck on your choice.
Thanks. I have picked the surefire winner in Pascal's Wager - atheism.

Remember: Me - win (hopefully)/no win. You the atheist - lose/no win. No win
comes into play if there is no almighty God.
Odds are not in your favor.

Pascal's Wager is a flawed argument. What if you have chosen the wrong god
to worship?

What if God sends all those who are worshiping Him to avoid punishment
to Hell, just because that is an unworthy motive?

Good point to ponder. 1 John 4.18 "There is no fear in love, but
perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and he
who fears is not perfected in love."
