The Hypocrite Returns to the Whitehouse |
http://www.cnn.com/2005/LAW/03/20/schiavo/index.html
reveals that the USA's First Hypocrite is returning to the Whitehouse
so he can grandstand while paradoxically prostrating himself before the
might of the religious right.
It's taken seven years and a dozen court rulings, yet a dumbass Florida
Republican still thinks Terri Schiavo, whose express wish was "that she
not remain in a permanent vegetative state" should be given the
"benefit of the doubt"! What doubt?
So now the executive branch and the legislative branch have decided to
undermine the judicial branch and force life upon her.
And this is the same president who has murdered 1500+ American soldiers
in Iraq, along with literally thousands of Iraqi civilians, and he
values life?
This is the same president of whom Kayne Robinson (NRA President) said,
"If we win, we'll have a Supreme Court that will back us to the
hilt...[and] a president where we work out of their office.
Unbelievably friendly relations."?
This is the same president who supports the death penalty?
This is the same president who countenances a child dying of malaria
every 30 seconds somewhere in the world and a person dying of measles
every 60 seconds in Africa alone?
Clearly this is the president who wnats to get government off people's
backs, but apparently firmly lodged inside everyone's own body.

Actually I've dealt with people like Terri frequently.
I'm not really being manipulated, the tapes are just evidence of the
reason the people who care about her are hanging on.
They have a point to hopefully prove and it wouldn't be reasonable to
expect them to show videos of their daughter not responding.

It's both dishonest and unreasonable to ignore and
furthermore to hide the evidence of their daughter not
responding. They have no point. Nothing but a case of denial
even worse than the one exhibited by the pet shop owner in
the Monty Python Dead Parrot skit. It would be laughable if
the fucking politicians and religious fanatics hadn't
decided to demagogue the issue into the ground.

I don't understand the problem here.
Why would people who wanted to prove she does sometimes respond focus
on anything but that?
How exactly would that make sense?
Should the evidence that she does sometimes respond be excluded?
If so why?

What would be inexcusably dishonest is if the tapes are old and her
condition has deteriorated since.

Very simple, dummy. There's no record of her claiming that she did not want
special efforts to keep her alive.
So her husband may very well be saying "show me the money".

What money would this be duke? The several million dollar offers the
husband has turned down to release control over his wife to her parents?
http://tinyurl.com/7x39k
Or perhaps you mean the money from the malpractice suit that he already has
($300,000)?

Exactly what money are you talking about?
She'd gone. She's been gone for 15 years and no amount of breastbeating and
grandstanding by politicl hacks and lunatics is going to bring her back.

False dichotomy.

No, I mean that the money is being given away by a "charitable" person;
it would just take this person to write "Doctors without Borders" on the

The whole thing is pretty confusing.
I've read that some of the medical people who have cared for her claim
she is not brain dead and I have seen photos in which she seems to be
responding to her mother and a camera.
Point of fact is that none of us can really know the truth with
certainity and imo most of the people who have not seen her or so much
as spoken with those involved but who are getting their information
from the press and publically expressing absolute opinions in favor of
letting her starve to death or forcing her to live may be making a
terrible mistake.
I do believe that if I were a person with the power to affect this
legally I would visit her a number of times myself before making a
decision.

Why would I support a bullet to her head? Once again duke you come up with
an either/or situation that you and your irrationalist kind have set up and
then have the gall to bring it up as a point. Freaking amazing. A bullet
in the head is unneccesary because there are very humane and peaceful ways
to end a life. But that option is not aqailable to Schiavo or the hundereds
of people a day who are removed from methods that keep them alive well after
they are ready to go. That option is not available becuase of the inhumane

That's very interesting. When did your bud Terri confess to you her feelings
on this matter?
And for God's sakes, why didn't you make some effort to let the court
know about your old pal Terri's views? That could have made all the difference,
you know.

This case is really dividing the troops. Half the people are voting for life,

PUKE LIED:
Very simple, dummy. There's no record of her claiming that she did
not want
special efforts to keep her alive.
Address all the other issues I raised, you cowardly puppet.
So her husband may very well be saying "show me the money".
Well that's what I'll be saying to you when we meet in court. Except
it won't be "money", it'll be **EVDIENCE**. That's what you need to
prepare for instead of going into ever more threads from which I will
inevitably chase you like the cowardly, lying, hypocrite that you are.
Deal with your sin of bearing false witness. Get yourself right with

The joke will be on you in the courtroom, coward. I seriously hope the
Judge likes your cheap excuse for wit, because it's all you're going to
have when he asks where your evidence is, Liar.
