The nerve of some creationist and so-called Christians |
Folks, I need to make a statement here, that the following email stands on
it's own, this is not at all a reflection of WebRing.com's integrity. This
is an individual, named "Pat" who manages a ring in the web ring system, and
the rude email is merely a reflection of their own personal religious bias
and bigotry. I would not do anything to deter people from participating in
the *democratic* system WebRing operates under. http://www.webring.com

If I knew your "RingMaster" names, lady, or whatever you are, I assure you,
I would not subscribe to another single ring you manage, I'd withdraw from
any rings we're in. You are a biased person, with a severe attitude problem.

You made the accusation, "promotion of scientifically incorrect information"
against a man who is a University graduate, holding a Bachelor of Science in
Biology, and currently employed on the staff of Furman University,
Greenville, SC -- with all due respect, I feel the least you owe us,
(besides an apology) is to provide the basis for your assertion that we
publish "scientifically incorrect" information on our web site? Explanation
please. If you can not explain your biased little comment -- you have no
business operating any "Ring of Integrity".
Is this the way you treat all your ring applicants, harrassing them if they
have a different belief system than you for instance, a belief in
Darwinism -- because you believe in Creation Science?
Is it written in Web Ring rules, that you have a right to start making false
accusations against applicants to your rings? Or, harrassing people based on
their religion, or lack thereof?
I'll repeat myself, if you make a copy of Chairman Goldsmith's page, you
better link to her pdf file, and don't snatch my HTML code which I worked so
hard on this morning. You're a thief if you copy my code.
This sets a new record on "rude" RingMasters...
I'm sure Ed Babinski will welcome your so-called criticism on his "promotion
of scientifically incorrect information" -- bring it on Pat, but I advise
you to pack a lunch.

"Sanday found patterns of behaviour that differed markedly between the two
kinds of society. As Benderly (1982) summarises:
Societies with a high incidence of rape . . . tolerate violence and
encourage men and boys to be tough, aggressive, and competitive. Men in such
cultures generally have special, politically important gathering spots off
limits to women, whether they be the Mundurucu men's club or the corner
tavern. Women take little or no part in public decision making or religious
rituals: men mock or scorn women's practical judgment. They also demean what
they consider women's work and remain aloof from childbearing and rearing.
These groups usually trace their beginnings to a male supreme being
(Benderly 1982, p. 42)."
