The Not Too Improbable Demise Of Dover, Pa. |
Pat Robertson has warned Dover, Pa. that the wrath of God could very
well be visited upon them for their having turned their backs on him.
I do not, in this day and age (that many see as the 'last days'
foretold of in the Holy Bible), see Dover, Pa getting hit with fire
from above as a divine retribution from 'God' himself as being too far
fetched. I believe it could happen any day now, and at any moment.
I see the men, women and children of Dover, Pa. as being in immediate
and grave danger of annihilated in a firestorm that could make the
bombing of Dresden and the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah look like
Sunday picnics. And when the smoke clears, and Donald Rumsfeld (with GW
holding onto his pantleg) is seen overlooking the burnt carnage, and
someone asks, why did you do that? Donald will undoubtedly say, "God
was busy, he sent me."
And the religioustic wingnuts amongst us will nod their heads in
approval of God's justice and sing his praises.
I base my belief that that is a highly probable scenario which we may
see unfold any time now, upon the feelings I get from seeing *****
I've been seeing from the religioustic right, ***** like the
following cute little story religioustic wingnuts take pleasure in
passing around, and in light of the other outragious and dastardly acts
already committed by the Bush Regime.
"A college professor, an avowed atheist, shocked his students when he
flatly stated he was going to prove there was no God. Addressing the
ceiling he shouted: "God, if you are real, then I want you to knock me
off this platform. I'll give you 15 minutes!"
The lecture room fell silent. The students looking at one another and
then at the professor. You could have heard a pin fall. Ten minutes
went by. Again he taunted God, saying, "Here I am, God. I'm still
waiting."
With only a couple of minutes left in his count-down, a young Marine -
just released from active duty and newly registered in the class -
walked up to the professor, hit him full force in the face, and sent
him tumbling from his platform, where he lay unconscious. At first, the
students were shocked and babbled in confusion. The young Marine took
a seat in the front row and sat silently. The class fell silent
too....waiting
Shortly, the professor came to and got up from the floor. Shaken, he
looked at the Marine, sitting in the front row. Finally, realizing what
had happened, he angrily confronted the young Marine, "What the hell is
the matter with you? Why did you do that?"
Looking up from his seat at the battered face of the professor, the
Marine replied softly, "God was busy. He sent me."
