THE POPE HAS GONE TO HEAVEN!!! |
Rejoice!! The Angel of Heaven has gone Home!!!
Christ and St. Peter have opened the Door to Him!
This marks the beginning of the end of the world.
As the world is taken over by the gays, abortionists, and evil of all
kinds, the end will come very soon. It will be sudden and unexpected.
At the appointed hour Christ shall return, together with his aide the
Holy Pope. He will take the righteous and the holy, and the rest will
be sent to hell for all eternity.
*On this day, the Lord has acted*

My religion? Not hardly, I am not catholic; however, I respect the man
for the contributions he made.
Interesting, considering the fact that he was almost directly responsible
for the spread of AIDS for the last two decades. Also the fact that he
did
his best to cover up the sexual activity of his celebate priests, which
was
not exactly acceptable, even in a biblical sense. Contributions? I
sometimes wonder if the Pope wasn't in on the joke.

I don't care to debate the Shiavo case once more. You
may describe the result as you wish, but as I'm sure you
know, there are many who say that a person who has no
cognitive functions or awareness of self, who's cerebral
cortex has disintegrated into spinal fluid, should be
allowed to pass away... as 25 court decisions involving 40
judges determined with clear and convincing evidence...
was the fact and was her wish. At least the "Church" was
saved from the indignity of a vegetative but breathing Pope.

Actually, only one court with one judge decided that that evidence was
clear and convincing. Once that decision was made, it was taken as a
fact of the case by the subsequent courts. No court re-examined the
evidence.

As long as we're splitting hairs... While courts appeal do not conduct
trials, the issue of whether there was sufficient evidence for the trial
judge (who BTW has an excellent reputation among fellow judges) to
find as he did was thoroughly examined. As the Second District
Court of Appeals, which heard the Shindlers initial appeal, wrote:
"In the final analysis, the difficult question that faced the trial court
was whether Theresa Marie Schindler Schiavo, not after a few weeks
in a coma, but after ten years in a persistent vegetative state that has
robbed her of most of her cerebrum and all but the most instinctive
of neurological functions, with no hope of a medical cure but with
sufficient money and strength of body to live indefinitely, would
choose to continue the constant nursing care and the supporting
tubes in hopes that a miracle would somehow recreate her missing
brain tissue, or whether she would wish to permit a natural death
process to take its course and for her family members and loved
ones to be free to continue their lives. After due consideration, we
conclude that the trial judge had clear and convincing evidence to
answer this question as he did." =R=

Sorry, but to suggest that the Shindler's should have as many
trials as it takes to get the result that they wanted would be an
incredible waste of judicial resources. You may enjoy having
the court spend your tax money on endless re-litigation of the
same issues, but "do-overs" only happen if the trial court did
something wrong. When 19 Florida judges in six state appellate
courts said that he did not, one might reasonably expect a party
to accept that they're simply out in left-field. =R=
