Object: The Pope's Legacy in Latin America: Illegal Abortions
Limited access to contraception or legal abortions has led to an
epidemic of backstreet abortions in Latin America, costing the lives of
5,000 women yearly and landing another 800,000 in hospitals with
complications. Despite being illegal, the rate of abortion in Latin
America dwarfs that of the US or Europe, where relatively easy access
to contraception means far fewer unwanted pregnancies. Of course, the
birthrate is also far higher than in the developed world. The irony is
the Church's anti-abortion and contraception stance leads to more
abortions as well as the needless death and suffering of women, not to
mention the spread of STDs. So much for the "culture of life."

Christianity has nothing to do with the so-called culture of life'.
Christianity is and always has been a death cult.
