The reason why mankind has made such dramatic progress over the last 200 years is
because there is going to be a "disaster" and we need all the technology we can
muster to weather it.
'The hour of trial that shall come upon the whole world'
The only thing that could effect the whole planet for an hour would be a large meteorite
passing through our atmosphere but not actually hitting the planet - the noise would be
phenomenal!
Well - one must take the bible literally - it does say "hour" - 60 minutes.
