The Republican War on Science |
http://portland.indymedia.org/en/2005/11/329084.shtml
Who benefits from a populace that's increasingly ignorant, gullible,
superstitious, and fearful of science? The Christanic priesthood,
people who do everything they can to ***** children's minds so that
they grow up to perpetuate the religious fraud.

All of society benefits when children are educated in Christian schools
because they end up with better minds, both morally and intellectually,
than those (un)educated
in the atheistic public schools, which are what really "f* children's
minds" by serving as propaganda tools for the far left.
But there is an easy solution to this conflict - full vouchers for all.
Atheists can send their kids to public schools, as can parents who don't
care about their kids' education or are very lucky enough to live where
there are actually some decent ones. The rest of us will send our kids to
private or religious schools.
Then we can see which kids do best in the long run.
Freedom of choice and competition. What a concept (except to the left).

There is already freedom of choice but those that choose to send their
children to their
religious school to be indoctrinated in their religion must pay for this
privilege.
What you are proposing is Government funding of your religious and religious
schools which
teach and promote your religion. This violates the principle of separation
of church and state.
True freedom of choice is permitting parents to send their children to the
school of their choice
- period.

The public schools in the US are not atheist. Your claim is
laughable.

Those who have enough money to send their children to good (and
expensive) private schools will do well. The other results of the
voucher system will be the creation of a large number of inferior
private schools that charge the amount of the vouchers only and the
further decline of the public schools.
Freedom of choice and competition. What a concept (except to the left).
Free, quality education for all. What a concept. Free, quality
education for all regardless of race, religion, or gender is a better
concept. A modern nation cannot do without it, and it has nothing to
do with being on the left or the right or with being religious or
non-religious.

It is a Christian, so that follows. Many are so addicted to bearing
false witness.

Which is why the former US is terminally ignorant, it's got the
Titanic of the superstitious cretins for a general populace.

Not for much longer with the ongoing transfer to self-checkout.
