Nonsense.
Tookie Williams was convicted in 1981, and began his life on Death Row
in 1982. At that time, Ah-nuld was unknown outside of body-building
circles, and his "acting" career wasn't even worth a joke.
The State of California, in accordance with its laws, put Mr. Williams
to death.

Row
: in 1982. At that time, Ah-nuld was unknown outside of body-building

Perhaps you were completely unaware of his existence at that point,
but 1982 was when Conan the Barbarian came out...and he wasn't exactly
"unknown outside of body-building" by then. Please don't take this to
mean that I'm a fan, or that I think he can act.
Otherwise, I'm in complete agreement with you.

Arnold is ignorant.
The death penalty is wrong.
Gang violence is wrong.
Life in prison, while for some may be a hell
not worth living, should have been a fine-enough penalty
for the late Mr. Tookie Williams.
It kept society safe, and allowed a voice to speak
that was preaching against gang violence,
a recant of his own violent youth.

It may have been "fine-enough" for Tookie, but it was not for the
Family and friends of his victims or for right-thinking people like us.
It kept society safe, and allowed a voice to speak
that was preaching against gang violence,
a recant of his own violent youth.
And how exactly did Tookie "recant" his youth?
By getting Ms. Barbra Becnal to write books with his name on them?
If he really wanted to "recant" he could have given the Police
information about the Crips, He could have shown some sympathy for the
victims.
He did nothing that makes him worthy of pity.
William.

Actually, the mother of one his victims was at the vigil outside San
Quinten. She asked if killing Williams would bring her child back.
