The Treasonous Liberal Quote Of The Week |
"The Republicans are worried we can't pay for insuring an additional
10 million children. They sure don't care about finding $200 billion
to fight the illegal war in Iraq. Where ya gonna get that money? You
going to tell us lies like you're telling us today? Is that how you're
going to fund the war? You don't have money to fund the war or
children. But you're going to spend it to blow up innocent people if
we can get enough kids to grow old enough for you to send to Iraq to
get their heads blown off for the President's amusement." - Pete Stark

I don't think war crimes is appropriate. However, for undermining the
constitution by force of arms(even though those arms were in the hands
of the secret service and homeland security) after taking an oath to
uphold the constitution...yes it could easily be argued that they
should be hung for treason.

Rubbish. Starting a war of aggression is a war crime.
Mistreatment of prisoners of war is a war crime.
Direct attack against civilians is a war crime.
Torture is a war crime. Denying prisoners a fair trial
is a war crime. Deportation of prisoner, with the

Here comes the clue train. Last stop you.

servile,

Ironically, this wasn't an idiotic quote. A bit over the
top, yes, but at it's heart somewhat accurate.
All of Bus's STATED goals in Iraq could have been
achieved without an invasion. They've also all been
reached, according to the neo-cons. And at this
point I'm absolutely convinced that the Republicans
are clinging to large number of troops in Iraq for one
and only one reason: To make sure that the next
Democratic President is the one that brings them
home. That way every stinking Republican can
scream, "Look! Look! We were _This_ _Close_ to
winning, but those damn librul Democrats backstabbed
us and withdrew them!"
Oh, come on! Have you ever seen a neo-con define
failure in Iraq in any terms OTHER THAN withdrawal?
And the tax thing. The war is SO. Damn. Important.
we can throw away thousands of American lives,
tens of thousands of Iraq lives, leave many thousands
upon thousands more scarred for life, but it's not so
important that we should actually pay for it.
When Bush first proposed his tax cuts we had more
than a $100 billion surplus. Very recently Bush was
cheering his recent deficit of only $160 billion as a
"Great Success." The excuse for the tax cuts hasn't
existed for six years, "We are at war," according to
the neo-cons, yet the tax cuts that benefit the richest
people & corporations are more important than paying
for this war... more important than healthcare... more
important than economic stimulus.
So, yeah, he might's chosen his words better, but
***** anyone who doesn't like it. Because the fact is
that the neo-cons are eager to send young people off
to fight & die, and they're dead set against providing
healthcare for kids... adults... ANYONE.

attacks on the leader are treated as attacks on the country. If you

Ironically, the Republicans have just launched smear
campaigns against a 12 year old boy & a two year
old girl for conflicting with GOP values (they both lived).
Prior to this, going back to the 2000 through 2004
elections, they launched smear campaign against
U.S. Senators -- including one of their own (John
McCain), for daring to run against the GOP elite.
Then there was the smear campaign against Max Clelend
in 2002, and the mother of all smear campaigns against
Senator John Kerry in 2004. In the Kerry example it was
a highly organized, multi million dollar effort with *Zero*
degrees of seperation from the Whitehouse.
So it's perfectly okay to smear high ranking elected
officials so long as they're not neo-cons.
It's perfectly acceptable to smear ANYONE so long as
they're not neo-cons.
But, oddly, in the example we're talking about it isn't
so much a smear as it is totally accurate....
