Forget the 'Ark of the Covenant' and any other 'divine' relic -- such as the
*original* 'books' that made-up 'God's 'Holy Word'. Why not have God 'bring
peace to mankind' by simply having 'God' wiggle his nose (like Barbara Eden
in TV series 'I Dream of Jeannie')? What? That too hard for 'God' to do? Is
he simply incapable of doing that? Or is it that his Magnificence-ness
doesn't want world peace?
When are you Jesus/God people going to quit talking so glowingly about your
*clearly* make-believe deity and continue your ineffective prayers to ...
*nothing*, really -- and trot out 'His Holiest of Holiest of Holy's' out
from behind the cosmic curtain number two for the rest of us to see?

Imagine... (love that song) imagine if all that energy was ACTUALLY
channeled into something positive! Perhaps the "god people" DO
contribute *something* positive in the effort to pat themselves on the
back - like to collect clothes and food for the needy - (I hardly think
they truly sustain all that many who need help though). But when I
think about what a WASTE of material goods and man-hours.... shees!
I feel the exact same way about professional sports, though. Yeah -
its entertainment for most knuckle draggers. (But my idea of SPORTS
are more like "solitary pursuits" - skydiving, mountaineering, hiking,
kayaking, sailing... the kind of things done mostly without spectators
- essentially, the challenge of the individual against the elements.
Also, what is it with balls? I have yet to figure out exactly why so
many "sports" have something to do with flinging, kicking, throwing or
retreiving BALLS)
