Being "on vacation" this month has lead me to watch a little daytime TV.
There's a show on in the morning with five ladies sitting around a table
discussing issues, and one of them had hosted a show where she had
interviewed leaders from many different faiths to get their opinions on
"heaven". Questions were asked like "Is there sex in heaven?" or "What is
the meaning of life?"
It was amusing to listen to all the taped responses, all displaying
completely different opinions, showing the View audience that heaven is
whatever you can imagine it to be.
The fun part was when the lady that hosted the interviews told the audience
that the Muslim guy told her that unless she believed what he believed, she
was going to hell. A dull roar rose from the studio audience, and all five
ladies began talking at once. I picked out lines such as "Christianity
teaches that there is one road..." and "...Jews don't believe in Jesus, but
they don't fear hell..."
It seemingly cornered a very small section of the American TV audience and
made some of them think. Quite refreshing!
