Not unheard of. :)
In the German windmill museum in the small town of Gifhorn, for example,
you'll find one building (lavishly decorated with what looks like 10 tons
of gold - I trust the area is shielded by automatic sentry guns or
minefields *eg*) that bears no resemblance to any kind of windmill
anymore... but do some research (or listen to the guide :) ) and you learn
that this is a former windmill turned into a Russian orthodox church. This
thing also was dismantled somewhere in Russia and rebuilt in the museum.
The Russian patriarch (or however they call their quasi-pope) personally
consecrated the thing and as far as I know church services are held there
weekly. Yes Gifhorn has many former Russians among its people.
How they manage to control that the believers enter only the church and
don't get a free ride through the museum escapes me though. Secret tunnels
built by dem ebil illuminati perhaps?

In Manhattan, the Metropolitan Museum of Art has The Cloisters in Fort
Tryon Park. It's a nice collection of religious art and architecture --
imported from Europe.

In Adelaide, several have been turned into night clubs and bars.

Are any of them gay clubs?
I can see the headline: "Church converted to gay lifestyle."
That would get the drooling morons in a tizzy ;-)

Possibly, can't say that I actually know.
My 'night club' days never ever started.
I was a roadie in a few in the early 70s, and that was enough to put
me off for life.
And I HATE dancing.

I can see the headline: "Church converted to gay lifestyle."

It would get the Priests all excited!
