Object: there is evidence for gravity!
Your argument doesn't work here. The burden of proof is on the
theist. If there were evidence for god then yes, the burden would be
on the atheist. If I said there was an invisible Giraffe in my house,
and you didn't believe me, would not the burden of proof be on me for
making the claim. You can not proove that there is not an invisible
Giraffe in my house. The same applies to an invisible god.

Aw, come off it....we all know it's a Unicorn, not a Giraffe.

You'll never convince them because in their minds the invisible
giraffe is self-evident, supremely important, loves them and forgives
them when they fart in bed. Besides which all reasonable people know
it exists.

I feel so much better now that I have found love form an invisible giraffe.
Thank you for opening my eyes. I was blind yet now I see.

The argument that everything had a Creator because it's too complicated, is
about as reasonable as saying that it couldn't have been created since it's
too complicated.
It's about like saying that a super flea created a dog. Then
the good fleas go to a great dog in the sky, while the bad unbelieving fleas
are scratched off into a super rug to be forever hungry. If you think dogs
weren't created by a Great Flea then you are an afleaist.

Blasphemer! What you refer to is the Invisible Pink Unicorn (PBUHH)!

These God beliefs are so ingrained because most people cannot deal with the
finality of death. They must create in their minds a here after and a god
that protects them
from the horrors of death.

Not to forget the ability to punish their enemies by placing them mentally
in their god's hell. Sometimes physically, too - giving them a taste of
what is to come.

You really need to study "burden of proof". It has nothing to do with
whether there's evidence.

If I said there was an invisible Giraffe in my house,
and you didn't believe me, would not the burden of proof be on me for
making the claim. You can not proove that there is not an invisible
Giraffe in my house.

Sure can. But no one can prove that there's no invisible giraffe
anywhere in the universe.

The same applies to an invisible god.

Only if its claimed existence is unlimited.
