Object: There is no hell
As the atheists say, it would be evil for God to create us only to send us
to hell. I had this thought before I started reading the atheists lately,
but then God himself told me a couple of weeks ago that there is no hell. So
I asked him, "What happened to Adolf Hitler?" He replied, "He will be
reincarnated." Which means some poor mother is going to give rebirth to
Hitler. It's funny, in a way. But he will have been rehabilitated in
appearing before God, I guess.
I can't answer why God would not appear to us in a very obvious way
occasionally. I have asked him this repeatedly, and he says he sends us
messengers with love and wisdom. I believe that God has sent his chief
angel, known to Christians as Jesus and Dionysus to the Greeks and Legba to
the Fon and Krishna to the Indians, to all the peoples of the world at one
time or another down through the ages. But these avatars came to us long
ago, and God isn't talking to us now. You have to listen very, very
carefully, and even then you can mistake your own thoughts for God's
communication. For example, George W. Bush told Ariel Sharon and Mahmoud
Abbas that God had told him to invade Iraq! George W. Bush is sadly mistaken
and is a war criminal.
I also can't answer why God allows people to do so much evil. This is a
great mystery to me. For example, why didn't God give Adolf Hitler a fatal
heart attack in 1918, thereby saving 12 million innocent people and millions
of others killed in war? It's a great mystery. This is why I am somewhat of
a deist.
I also can't answer why God would allow viruses and bacteria and cancer and
heart disease, etc. I do believe he created life and then allowed evolution
to do its work, which might explain why we have such nasties.
I am a deist, sort of. I think God created the cosmos, created life, and
then stepped back and let happen whatever would happen, with some tweaking
here and there. But I do think the gods have interacted with mankind, just
not so much anymore.
I expect Jesus to come back soon, maybe even this year. Maybe even next
month. We'll see. Wait and see before you scoff.
And for you atheists, I asked God what he would do with atheists. He said,
"We will accept them when they come to us." So all you do-gooding believers
can stop threatening the atheists with eternal hellfire for a thought crime.

Funny how people have been saying the same thing for the last couple

do-gooding believers can stop threatening the atheists with eternal

As if threatening atheists with an imaginary hell at the hand of an
imaginary god has much effect.

The excellent question posed by Dr. DuFonet was, Why is it necessary for God
not to be evil? I guess it's not necessary, but given the power that he has,
it is definitely desirable.

There's your hell right there. It's no place where you go after you die,
it's more of something that happen to us while we're alive, now and then,
here and there... (and I do not believe in reincarnation, btw.)

It's funny, in a way. But he will have been rehabilitated in

Why not ask God? You make the rather bold claim to have contact with him.

Tweaking? What does this mean? When did this supposed tweaking happen?

I expect Jesus to come back soon, maybe even this year. Maybe even next

How do we know it will be him? If someone comes and claim to be Jesus, would
anyone believe him? My guess is that not even the majority of the christians
would believe him. Unless he performed some miracles that would not be
simple magic done by an illusionist.

No argument with that last statement. However, you are contradicting
yourself. Your god is speaking with you but none of "us" now? Besides, you

unstable fanatics.

Deists do not believe in any divine messengers. Why would an
omnopotent being want to alter natural process of evolution by sending
his messengers? Why do your messengers usually reach such small
numbers of humans? Humans like to modify and misrepresent other's
ideas. Why does your omnipotent being have to take so much risk? Why
does your omnipotent being rely on the world of mouth and
human-written media to get his messege across? Do you think this is
the most effective way? Why not make announcments using a pair of very
loud speakers suspended somewhere in our Milky Way galaxy?

I also can't answer why God would allow viruses and bacteria and cancer and
heart disease, etc.

Viruses and bacterias are part of our ecosystem. They are not "bad" or
"vicious". Viruses replicate within their hosts's cells because this
is how they survive. They just exist this way. Every gene-carying
organism strives to produce offsprings. Bacterium is an essential
element to your own survival. They decompose matter into nutrients for
other organisms to consume. Don't you like beer, vodka, etc? Bacterias
are responsible for fermentation. Lear about cancer and heart desease
first. Perhaps, that is why you cannot asnwer your "why" question?

I do believe he created life and then allowed evolution

There is no reason for "them" to interact and intervene for some time
and then be inactibe for the rest of time. What are you implying when
you say this? Suffering has always existed. Wars, epidemics, killings
are all part of human nature. Ants engage in massive battles between
colonies. Why not send messengers to ants to tell them about moral
laws? Do you think we are special, you homo sapien nazi?

Mark

Mark,
You are correct in stating that there is no 'hellfire' (I assume that
is what you mean by "hell".) If we use God's written word, the Holy
Bible, we can see what happens to dead people, whether or not they are
good or bad. Ec 9:5,
"For the living know that they will die, but the dead know nothing;
they have no further reward, and even the memory of them is
forgotten." (NIV)
Also notice Ps 146:3,4,
"3 Do not trust in princes, In mortal man, in whom there is no
salvation. 4 His spirit departs, he returns to the earth; In that very
day his thoughts perish." (NASB)
Thus a dead people " know nothing" because their "thoughts perish".
(It is kind of hard to function without thoughts, is it not?)
But dead people, both good and bad, even though they lie unconscience
in the grave, (Hebrew "sheol", translated as "hell" in some Bibles),
do have a hope. Their hope lies not in reincarnation, but in a
resurrection from the grave. Ac 24:15,
"and I have the same hope in God as these men, that there will be a
resurrection of both the righteous and the wicked." (NIV)
If the Bible is really "God-breathed" as it claims (2 Ti 3:16), then
we cannot ignore those Bible truths.
Also, if people claim to receive visions etc, from God, if those
occurrences were really from God, they would not contradict God's
written word, such as words from God promoting reincarnation over the
Bible's teaching of a resurrection, etc.
I hope the above Bible verses have helped you to see the real truth
about those things.
Sincerely, James

The Atheist Prayer:

"Jesus, save us from your followers!"

Exactly. But I don't understand what James hoped to prove by quoting
the bible to somebody outside his religion?
And of course he was being dishonest calling the "real truth" when it
was merely his religious belief.

good or bad. Ec 9:5,

Are you sure about that? This excerpt from the book of Luke suggests
otherwise.
{16:19} "Now there was a certain rich man, and he was clothed in
purple and fine linen, living in luxury every day. {16:20} A certain
beggar, named Lazarus, was laid at his gate, full of sores, {16:21} and
desiring to be fed with the crumbs that fell from the rich man's table.
Yes, even the dogs came and licked his sores. {16:22} It happened that
the beggar died, and that he was carried away by the angels to
Abraham's bosom. The rich man also died, and was buried. {16:23} In
Hades, he lifted up his eyes, being in torment, and saw Abraham far
off, and Lazarus at his bosom. {16:24} He cried and said, 'Father
Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of
his finger in water, and cool my tongue! For I am in anguish in this
flame.'
{16:25} "But Abraham said, 'Son, remember that you, in your
lifetime, received your good things, and Lazarus, in like manner, bad
things. But now here he is comforted and you are in anguish. {16:26}
Besides all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed, that
those who want to pass from here to you are not able, and that none may
cross over from there to us.'
{16:27} "He said, 'I ask you therefore, father, that you would send
him to my father's house; {16:28} for I have five brothers, that he may
testify to them, so they won't also come into this place of torment.'
{16:29} "But Abraham said to him, 'They have Moses and the prophets.
Let them listen to them.'
{16:30} "He said, 'No, father Abraham, but if one goes to them from
the dead, they will repent.'
{16:31} "He said to him, 'If they don't listen to Moses and the
prophets, neither will they be persuaded if one rises from the dead.'"

Hitler?" He replied, "He will be reincarnated." Which means some poor
mother is going to give rebirth to Hitler. It's funny, in a way. But
he will have been rehabilitated in appearing before God, I guess.

I can't answer why God would not appear to us in a very obvious way
occasionally. I have asked him this repeatedly, and he says he sends
us messengers with love and wisdom. I believe that God has sent his
chief angel, known to Christians as Jesus and Dionysus to the Greeks
and Legba to the Fon and Krishna to the Indians, to all the peoples of
the world at one time or another down through the ages. But these
avatars came to us long ago, and God isn't talking to us now. You have
to listen very, very carefully, and even then you can mistake your own
thoughts for God's communication. For example, George W. Bush told
Ariel Sharon and Mahmoud Abbas that God had told him to invade Iraq!
George W. Bush is sadly mistaken and is a war criminal.

I also can't answer why God allows people to do so much evil. This is
a great mystery to me. For example, why didn't God give Adolf Hitler a
fatal heart attack in 1918, thereby saving 12 million innocent people
and millions of others killed in war? It's a great mystery. This is
why I am somewhat of a deist.

I also can't answer why God would allow viruses and bacteria and
cancer and heart disease, etc. I do believe he created life and then
allowed evolution to do its work, which might explain why we have such
nasties.

I am a deist, sort of. I think God created the cosmos, created life,
and then stepped back and let happen whatever would happen, with some
tweaking here and there. But I do think the gods have interacted with
mankind, just not so much anymore.

I expect Jesus to come back soon, maybe even this year. Maybe even
next month. We'll see. Wait and see before you scoff.

And for you atheists, I asked God what he would do with atheists. He
said, "We will accept them when they come to us." So all you
do-gooding believers can stop threatening the atheists with eternal
hellfire for a thought crime.

Mark

Mark,

You are correct in stating that there is no 'hellfire' (I assume that
is what you mean by "hell".) If we use God's written word, the Holy
Bible, we can see what happens to dead people, whether or not they are
good or bad. Ec 9:5,

"For the living know that they will die, but the dead know nothing;
they have no further reward, and even the memory of them is
forgotten." (NIV)

So much for that *****. As I recall people like Thomas Paine, Robert
Ingersoll, MMOH,... are still remembered and acknowledged by many people.

And do you think that your beliefs prevent your thoughts from perishing
when you die?

But dead people, both good and bad, even though they lie unconscience
in the grave, (Hebrew "sheol", translated as "hell" in some Bibles),
do have a hope. Their hope lies not in reincarnation, but in a
resurrection from the grave. Ac 24:15,

"and I have the same hope in God as these men, that there will be a
resurrection of both the righteous and the wicked." (NIV)

If the Bible is really "God-breathed" as it claims (2 Ti 3:16), then
we cannot ignore those Bible truths.

How do you know the bible is really "god-breathed" and this is just some
fabrication stuck in there to impress the gullible?

Also, if people claim to receive visions etc, from God, if those
occurrences were really from God, they would not contradict God's
written word, such as words from God promoting reincarnation over the
Bible's teaching of a resurrection, etc.

And how do you know objectively what is really god's word and what is
simply delusion and imagination?

I hope the above Bible verses have helped you to see the real truth
about those things.

What "truth"?
