They say God always existed, God has no creator. |
So I say, the universe always existed too and the universe has no creator.
Human beings have put all of their hopes and desires for everlasting
happiness into a dreamt-up state of existence which they label as God. And
then to put some kinda special spin on this life they convince themselves
that they were created by this God. And some of them actually believe this
nonsense while simultaneously believing that God created the first man Adam
and yet that very same God, with whom there is everlasting happiness and all
desires fulfilled, thought that it was necessary to Adam's happiness to
create Eve. Sorry, but if God is the be-all and end-all of all desires then
why the hell do they believe that God "thought it best" that Adam needed
anything else but him? Jesus also teaches that if someone cares more about
his wife than him then he is not worthy of the Lord. So why did God even
create the possibility of that particular scenario by making Eve? For a God
that was supposed to be everything someone could ever desire, he really came
up short on expectations if by his own admission he thought that Adam needed
something else to be happy, namely Eve, which turned out to be not such a
good idea. So why do they seek this God if he certainly wasn't good enough
for Adam?

So if the god existed forever (i.e. an infinite time in the past) and
he created the universe at some finite time in the past, then he existed
for an infinite time before there was a universe.
What was he doing all that time? No other gods to talk with (if we are
considering only monotheism), and not even any atoms and molecules to keep
track of. What a horrible existence!

you may just be attributing anthropomorphic qualities
to a concept that was originated by the likes
of mere mortals in the first place. considering
this concept known as 'god', what would make you
feel that this concept even has a necessity to
'do' things continually seeing as how that is
the bane of the human agenda in its nervousness
to not only need to be doing things all the live long
day but expecting the very same from some
idealized concept such as 'god'. i see you also
need to skewer physics into a mortal-like understanding
of the concept of time wherein you are self assured in
the notion that not only did the universe have a beginning
but prior to that beginning there was a great amount of
time needing to be used up by this god concept.
your last sentence does ring somewhat of
understanding in that existence, when used
as a comparison yardstick to what may possibly
be an imagined alternative, could indeed be seen
as horrible since it was this 'god', better termed,
those principles and forces which operate the universe,
who needed to observe that unknowing unborn state
of absoluteness, so to speak, in a relative manner in
order to scratch that deep itch that was bothering it.
but never fear, even the scratching of that deep
itch will soon pass into oblivion as will all of us.
your misery is quite justified though. don't
interrupt the sorrow.

Do you keep track of your own molecules?
Fortunately for all, they seem to take care of themselves.
Why do you suppose there was time before time?
Science claims that matter, space and time are interdependent
and arose together around 13 billion years ago. They came from
nothing, at no time, and in no place. That's the scientific explanation
arived at by experiment, observations and mathematics.
All of our experience and our thinking is in and about matter,
space and time. Anything outside of that or beyond that is
just plain inconceivable. Yet science will insist that matter,
space and time banged out of nothing, in no place, and at
no time. Is that any easier to believe?
Without matter, space and time, how can there be any
causation? Without causation, how can anything happen?
Yet something happened and there is no way to account
for a causeless beginning.
There is no time before the beginning of time any more
than there is a north of the north pole.
