OK it says:
"...when he went home to get his sawed-off shotgun, which he jammed into
his trousers. ...as he walked back to the pub, the gun went off, blasting
pellets into his testicles."
He must have them trousers hiked up pretty high to give the muzzle of the
shotgun access to his nuts.
I suppose if he sawed off the whole barrel, that might work.

As long as he hasn't had kids already, and he's truly and completely
self-sterilized, then he is eligible for a richly deserved Darwin Award.
I'm quite sure he's sterile now, don't know about the kids though.

Five years for possessing a sawed off shotgun is an outrageously
excessive sentence. For a first time offender in the US without
undesirable politcal affiliations, the offense would likely result in
fines and probation. (Of course, Weaver was charged with possessing a
sawed off shotgun and they killed his wife, kid and dog).

Sawed off shotguns are intended as concealed man-killers. They are
designed to be able to be snuck into places (like banks, which is why
there are laws against them) and then to kill anyone standing close.

He was a nut case but left alone quite harmless. Possessing a
sawed-off shot gun or even some of the other automatic weapons he
collected were no threat to rest of society. This was clearly a case
where the government created the problem. I grew up in the Pacific

Are you really going to claim that was the only reason they were
interested in him?

He was a nut case but left alone quite harmless. Possessing a
sawed-off shot gun or even some of the other automatic weapons he
collected were no threat to rest of society. This was clearly a case
where the government created the problem. I grew up in the Pacific
N.W. and saw many illegal weapons. I believe that social pressure
would eventually supress this problem without outside intervention.

He had no illegal automatic weapons.
Automatic weapons are still legal to own in the US,

But he was in the UK.

No guns allowed here man.

ONCE AGAIN, this was in reference to Randy Weaver.
YOU snipped Weaver from the post!

Oops ! Indeed I did....sry.

Well, perhaps I am a bit to sensitive about the Weaver thing. I am sure
people outside the US are not very familiar with the whole affair. To
summarize:
The US Bureau of Alcohal, Tobacco, and Firearms (primarily a tax collection
agency) was in danger of being reduced or abolished altogether because they
were obsolete. To gain support, they tried to create a new public image of
being some kind of special forces protecting the US from heavily armed
anarchists. To this end, they staged a daring raid, with several cameras and
reporters, against a gunsmith and firearms collector, using a warrant
obtained with falsified evidence. They also illegally bypassed the local law
enforcement agency. They went in guns blazing. Weaver knew the raid was
illegal and did not trust the agents, especially after they killed his dog,
and retreated into his cabin with his family. This started a standoff with
two groups of armed individuals. The BATF called in the FBI and provided
them false information about the raid and identity of the persons in the
cabin , as well as what weapons they had. Weaver tried to send his wife and
youngest child to safety. Is wife was shot in the head by an FBI sniper
after she exited the cabin through the front door, WHILE CARRYING AN INFANT,
in plain view. After the whole thing was over, Weaver was crippled (shot in
the back), and his wife, a son, and his dog were dead. Weaver was later
found innocent of the illegal weapons charge that the BATF used as an
excuse. Later, the BATF did EXACTLY THE SAME THING in Waco Texas, but about
80 people died there.

Sawed off shotguns are intended as concealed man-killers. They are
designed to be able to be snuck into places (like banks, which is why
there are laws against them) and then to kill anyone standing close.

I notice you have no comment about this at all.

(Of course, Weaver was charged with possessing a
sawed off shotgun and they killed his wife, kid and dog).
