I notice tyou avoided the question. You've just been handed obsolete
ammo that doesn't fit in your weapon, and told that it is perfectly
good. What is your reaction.

My reaction to your hypothetical would be to do exactly as we did
when ordered to fly down the same valley that we knew had AA guns
bracketing anyone coming that way....We said "Yes Sir" and then
mapped a route that would bypass said valley and get us to the same
destination. This technically would be the call of the pilot, but all 4
of the crew were complicit in this "violation". We referred to it as
"improvising" .
In other words, I would say "yes sir" and do what I had to do to
survive,
be it steal the correct ammo, get another weapon.... Whatever.
I hope this answers your hypothetical question.

That's what we have here. Battlefield munitions, all out of date an
ineffectual. Not WMD by anyone's definition. Including the
Pentagon's!

Here's a snippet from Don Rumsfeld....I think he has something to do
with the Pentagon-
JOURNALIST: Mr. Secretary, there's a lot made on Capitol Hill about
these chemical weapons that were found and may be quite old. But do you
have a real concern - are these weapons from Saddam's past, perhaps
having an impact on U.S. troops who are on the ground in Iraq right
now?
DONALD RUMSFELD, U.S. SECRETARY OF DEFENSE: Certainly. What's been
announced is accurate, that there have been hundreds of canisters or
weapons of various types found that either currently have sarin in them
or had sarin in them. And sarin's dangerous, and it's dangerous to our
forces and it's a concern.
So, obviously, to the extent we can locate these and destroy them, it's
important that we do so. They are dangerous, and any of them, I'm sure,
General Casey or anyone else in that country would be concerned if they
got in the wrong hands.
They are weapons of mass destruction. They're harmful to human beings.
And they have been found, and they not been reported by Saddam Hussein
as he inaccurately alleged that he had reported all of his weapons. And
they are still being found and discovered.

Someone once told me never to ***** with an infantryman.
So I think that I've said enough on this subject.

"But intelligence officials, who spoke on condition of anonymity
because of the subject's sensitive nature, said the weapons were
produced before the 1991 Gulf War and there is no evidence to date of
chemical munitions manufactured since then. They said an assessment of
the weapons concluded they are so degraded that they couldn't now be
used as designed."
A few obsolete artillary shells do not WMD make. . .
"He said experts on Iraq's chemical weapons are in "almost 100 percent
agreement" that sarin nerve agent produced from the 1980s would no
longer be dangerous.
"It is less toxic than most things that Americans have under their
kitchen sink at this point," Kay said."
