TOBS: Bang!!!! he is dead now!-- human evolution in action |
NBC showed a Marine shooting dead a wounded and unarmed Iraqi in a
Falluja mosque, officials said on Monday.
--------------
And they want to remove him?
Why???
He was following his evolved human instinct.. to remove the weak. to
Kill.
The war is a war against Muslims...
Allah did not protect this poor soul in his mosque. Show the muslims
which god is more powerful eh? another point for atheism and
evolution.
is not evolution grand?

notwithstanding the religion bit... it is a war situation and that iraqi
(was he even?) was an enemy and could easily have been plotting sneak
attacks - a speciality of his comrades.
Had the situation been reversed, what treatment could the marine have
expected? I'll bet it was a whole lot less humane but the same outcome -
see
Daniel Pearl, Nick Berg, Ken Bigley etc.etc. for details.
The evil of the terrorists does not excuse our own evil. If we act on their
level then we become terrorists themselves. I've seen the video and that
guy was not a threat at all. He'd been lying there shot for a full day.
Exactly. We're supposed to be the good guys.

If nothing else, when we do ***** like this, or Abu Ghraib, or Gitmo, or
reward some meatball who writes memos sneering at the Geneva Convention
with the post of Attorney General, we definitely lose major battles on
the propaganda front. We're just lucky that al-Zarkawi fucker is so
stupid he thinks he'll win sympathy for his cause by videotaping himself
clumsily sawing the heads off non-combatants.

And, of course, the guys in charge claim that this is an "aberration".
Like we're supposed to believe that the soldiers being recorded are
*more* likely to kill people that those with no oversight. Yeah, that's
logical!

your niavity is touching... it is well known for wounded "soldiers" to lie
clutching a detonator or grenade for just such a situation. They even booby
trap dead ones, roll 'em over and *BOOM* - remember - these people view it
as glorious to pack themselves with a kilo of semtex studded with
ball-bearings and screws and walk into a crowded shopping mall or bar or
school disco and blow them all to bits - the survivors are often infected
with hepatitis or other disease from fragments of the terrorist entering
them - a slow death sentence, so it isn't just those down on the day -
others will suffer a poor life quality for the rest of their lives. They
have already shown themselves to drive up to checkpoints under a white flag
or in an ambulance before launching an attack. How trust-worthy can they be?
This one is a victim of his own (maybe vicarious) treachery.
The problem is we are playing the gentleman's game, geneva convention, human
rights and all that - they aren't - at no time have they fought with honour
or dignity. Dressed as civilians and hiding behind women and children before
launching a sneak attack with no regard for innocents.
Every interview I have seen where special forces were asked "what would you
do" has said the same. SAS, SBS, Spetznaz... they all said the marine did
the right thing in the circumstances especially when you consider he was
probably trigger happy due to being nearly killed the day before and they
were flushing the house where known hostiles were operating. The only
criticism is that he did what he did with a camera crew... scumbag media
crying foul and licking his lips at a pullitzer... the marine would have
done society a greater service if he'd shot the journo' too.
To quote a recent film: "sometimes you use good to fight evil, you just need
a different kind of evil" - so true

We are not following the Geneva convention in Iraq. The Iraqi
insurgents, terrorists, and freedom fighters are not members of a
military. They do not wear colors. They do not have colors.
I have seen images of american military torturing iraqis, painting
racist and hateful graffiti on their vehicles and bombs, and generally
making fun of middle eastern people
http://www.boners.com/content/791937.1.jpg
http://www.alkhilafah.info/massacres/iraq/images/ustankdestroyed.jpg
http://www.rotten.com/library/crime/prison/abu-ghraib/iraqabuse5.jpg
I have seen images of some of the tens of thousands of innocent iraqis
disfigured and destroyed by coalition bombing
http://www.alkhilafah.info/massacres/iraq/images/america9.jpg
I have also seen images of compassion from the coalition. I am not so
biased that I cannot see the good and bad. I would say that the
coalition is fighting with more integrity than the insurgents. How
much integrity that is seems to varry. But even with the moral upper
hand, the coalition has killed far, far more innocent noncombatants.
I do not understand how they could not want to resist the coalition.
So I disagree with you on that, but I do not see the marine's action
as wrong but an unfortunate event. So I do agree with you there.

Yes, all the geeky, studious types that were social outcasts in school
(save being in the chess or ham radio clubs) didn't survive. All those
98 pound weaklings that were subjected to shoulder checks in the
hallways, and had their books knocked out of their hands never made it

This begs the question of your idiotic statement; which is the strong

The way I see it, someone that uses the scientific method would
consider their own conclusions and observations questionable. They
seek verification from as many different sources, and as much evidence
as they can find. No idea is held above question, and such a person
would be ready to abandon a belief if shown to be incorrect by enough

gravity is a theory and it is a fact. you throw up a ball into the
air, it falls down.
it passes all the parameter of the scientific method. the most
important of all observation.
this does not occur with evolution. Nobody have observed human
evolution. in fact nobody has ever observed one life form evolved into
another in a short period of time. speciation is not evolution. a dog
is a dog is a dog.
in fact a wolf is a dog is a dog, per gentics... and yet their
behaviour is so different, that some perfer to call it a different
species, instead ofr breed of dog.
due to this evolution as the origin of man must be based on evidence.
I can take any scientific evidence you throw on evolution an attribute
it to a designer. You can come up with the same argument, that since
nobody have seen a designer, a designer must not exist, so a belief in
a designer is based on faith.

In scientific circles, a "theory" and a "fact", as you put it, are
known as "laws" - and laws, from a science standpoint, cannot be

How is this faith?
gravity is a theory and it is a fact. you throw up a ball into the
air, it falls down.
In scientific circles, a "theory" and a "fact", as you put it, are
known as "laws" - and laws, from a science standpoint, cannot be
broken except in sci fi novels and X-Files reruns.
evolution theory a law?, cant even be proven as a fact, and now you call it a law?
ya see what happen when ye smoke wacky weed durring science 101...

You are the one who used gravity as an example, now you're saying that
there's no such thing as Newton's LAW of gravity. No wonder people
think you're a kook. You can't even get facts straight from an 8th
grade science book!

Maybe not in so many words, but when you don't even use the proper
terminology in your examples, how do you expect anyone to take you
seriously?

Really? Let's open one up and see...hmmm...I see an explanation of
Ohm's Law for calculations of voltage, current, and resistance in
simple electric circuits. Yeap. That old Ohm's Law looks pretty
outdated to me!

Yes, and they won't be WT publications either.

Take your own advice Jabbers. Everyone calls you an idiot on the NGs you
infest. You lose every argument you start, and look like a fool every time.
Then they killfile you!

BTW, what happened to your lawsuit against my ISP? Do you own the company
as you said you would last spring? Did your lawyer take off with your
money? Once again Jabriol, you make a complete *****, a total fool of
yourself. You must be a masochist. There's no other answer for your
behavior here on Usenet.

A few weeks ago, Jabbers made a statement that he could go
head-to-head on any science subject anyone chose. Since I've worked in
a lab doing tests on steel samples, I chose metallurgy. I asked some
simple questions based on the working knowledge I've gained in the
field. His silence on the subject spoke in volumes.

Oh I know Jabbers well. He's infested and cross-posts to and from ARJ-W for
years. Rape/creation/evolution are his favorite topics. He goes back to
them constantly. His knowledge of science comes from the Watchtower
magazines, and anything that AGREES with the WTS rags. His knowledge of
science is on par with my knowledge of brain surgery.... zip! Zilch! Nada!
I saw your questions to him... :-)
