TOBS: Beslan; a lesson in Natural Selection |
All,
No doubt that the loss of life is tragic, and the events of Beslan
in Russia is truely a sad tragedy; It brings perpective to
terrorism from a humane standpoint. However, if we are to view this
from a scientific viewpoint,the event that occur in Beslan is quite normal because it is an act Natural Selection. All of our Children are taught in school about the survival of the fittest. Beslan is an excellent example of ramdon selection due to selective preasures.
Some people survive, other did not. Reminds me of coloumbine.
Think of the benefits, the resource of those who died, can be used
efficiently for those who survive. The purpose of this post is not to start a flame war, but to give a rational scientific view point, of human evolutionary behaviour, and the effects in the enviroment.

My other response was bit to quick, as I said, this is not a flame
war. Think about it. As a parent, you are interested in your
family's having a happy future. What does evolution offer? If a few
years in a violent world is all that your children have to live for,
why, they may reason,
should we not lie, steal, fornicate and cheat? Is it not in this way
that ‘the fit survive' and the ‘weak are weeded out'?
Did this happen in Beslan or not? Wisely, you too
should know the facts about the evolution teaching.
