Object: TOBS disagreements among scientists on evolution
When a special centennial edition of Darwin’s Origin of Species was
to be published, W. R. Thompson, then director of the Commonwealth
Institute of Biological Control, in Ottawa, Canada, was invited to write
its introduction. In it he said: “As we know, there is a great
divergence of opinion among biologists, not only about the causes of
evolution but even about the actual process. This divergence exists
because the evidence is unsatisfactory and does not permit any certain
conclusion. It is therefore right and proper to draw the attention of
the non-scientific public to the disagreements about evolution.

It's like religion, the evolution theory..isn't it, just like a cult.. it's we against all

No, you are pathetic because you cannot distinguish between the scientific
process and magic. There is extensive evidence which shows that evolution is a
way of life on this planet and ZERO evidence that God did it.

Interesting if you believe in abiogenesis, you believe in magic. Nobody
with the scientific process has duplicated the event. All you have is
faith, that it happen, even though there is no demonstrable evidence
that it did.

"The" evolution theory? Which would that be? Depending how one defines
the term, that could include Saltation, Punk Eek and Lamarckism, to name
but three.

it's we against all the others. Anyone who thinks different is
"pathetic".

On the contrary; different thinking is welcomed. Note, however, that is
different *thinking*, not merely screaming "Is not!" like a busted record.
Science thrives on differing views, differing approaches, differing
arguments. What isn't welcome is a pack of drooling twits who haven't got
a clue what the science is, merrily asserting it's wrong without any shred
of an argument to back up such a statement.
You have a differing view? Bring it on - just make sure it's a view
properly grounded in science, not in some second-rate fairy tale.

THOSE who support the theory of evolution feel that it is now an
established fact. They believe that evolution is an “actual occurrence,”
a “reality,” a “truth,” as one dictionary defines the word “fact.” But
is it?
To illustrate: It was once believed that the earth was flat. Now it has
been established for a certainty that it is spherical in shape. That is
a fact. It was once believed that the earth was the center of the
universe and that the heavens revolved around the earth. Now we know for
sure that the earth revolves in an orbit around the sun. This, too, is a
fact. Many things that were once only debated theories have been
established by the evidence as solid fact, reality, truth.
Would an investigation of the evidence for evolution leave one on the
same solid ground? Interestingly, ever since Charles Darwin’s book The
Origin of Species was published in 1859, various aspects of the theory
have been a matter of considerable disagreement even among top
evolutionary scientists. Today, that dispute is more intense than ever.
And it is enlightening to consider what advocates of evolution
themselves are saying about the matter.

things that were once only debated theories have been established by the
evidence as solid fact, reality, truth.

Would an investigation of the evidence for evolution leave one on the same
solid ground? Interestingly, ever since Charles Darwin’s book The Origin
of Species was published in 1859, various aspects of the theory have been
a matter of considerable disagreement even among top evolutionary
scientists. Today, that dispute is more intense than ever. And it is
enlightening to consider what advocates of evolution themselves are saying
about the matter.

I see. You've just gone back to

and cut-and-pasted the next three paragraphs; i.e.:

----

"When a special centennial edition of Darwin’s Origin of Species was to be
published, W. R. Thompson, then director of the Commonwealth Institute of
Biological Control, in Ottawa, Canada, was invited to write its
introduction. In it he said: “As we know, there is a great divergence of
opinion among biologists, not only about the causes of evolution but even
about the actual process. This divergence exists because the evidence is
unsatisfactory and does not permit any certain conclusion. It is therefore
right and proper to draw the attention of the non-scientific public to the
disagreements about evolution

"THOSE who support the theory of evolution feel that it is now an
established fact. They believe that evolution is an “actual occurrence,” a
“reality,” a “truth,” as one dictionary defines the word “fact.” But is it?

" To illustrate: It was once believed that the earth was flat. Now it has
been established for a certainty that it is spherical in shape. That is a
fact. It was once believed that the earth was the center of the universe and
that the heavens revolved around the earth. Now we know for sure that the
earth revolves in an orbit around the sun. This, too, is a fact. Many things
that were once only debated theories have been established by the evidence
as solid fact, reality, truth.

" Would an investigation of the evidence for evolution leave one on the same

Very impressive.

Good catch. I'm not wasting time with a cut and paste troll.

To illustrate: It was once believed that the earth was flat. Now it has
been established for a certainty that it is spherical in shape. That is
a fact. It was once believed that the earth was the center of the
universe and that the heavens revolved around the earth. Now we know for

fact.

It was once believed that the world was created by an entity who sits
in a chair all day judging us. Now we know for sure, of course, that
evolution is a fact.

Many things that were once only debated theories have been
established by the evidence as solid fact, reality, truth.

Such as evolution. God is still being debated.

Evolution is a fact. The Theory of Evolution is the *only* science-
based explanation for this fact.
If you have positive scientific evidence for an alternative, I'd be
delighted to debate it with you. Do you have it, or are you just
another whining creationist Jabriol clone?

"ZilentNoise" is another jabriol sock-puppet. He changes his name
constantly to get past your killfiles. He's also doing it to make it harder
for the elders of his Kingdom Hall to follow his trail here on Usenet.

So you said this twice, you have not answer the question. Why does he
need to hide from the Elders of his congregation?

I see you lack reading comprehension since it's been answered several times
over the years since you laughed at how gullible your elders were at the
Camden NJ Kingdom Hall. When you made fun of them and were so proud of
yourself for fooling and deceiving them.
